I just discovered the same issue on my test server, definitions not updating. 
On my liver server they are updating.

Hmmm... do you have an onion server as well? g  Throw in some raw binary
reads (BRead) and a Synchronous  Asynchronous Logging and Analysis Daemon
(SALAD) and you could turn dinner into a web service...
