[DUG] JEDI JVCL JCL

2007-02-25 Thread John Bird
I looked at and downloaded the latest JEDI JVCL/JCL - I am guessing there
are a few components etc in there I will want to use.

It looks very comprehensive, *EXCEPT* I have not yet found an overview with
a brief summary of what each component does, so I am a bit mystified Anyone
know where there is documentation/summaries etc?

Or comments from others on what is really useful in JEDI and elsewhere

John

I too would be interested in knowing whether there's some better doco
somewhere, as I have found the lack of obvious doco for JVCL/JCL very
frustrating.

Some of the components are very useful, tho'.

You probably know this already. The only doco I can find is the Jedi
Online Help http://homepages.borland.com/jedi/jedihelp/ It's not
complete but can't find anything better.

Cheers,

Not complete? ;-)

Every time I've gone and looked there, the summary and description for
whatever method/class/component I'm interested in says Write here a
summary/description...

RE: [DUG] JEDI JVCL JCL

2007-02-25 Thread Jeremy Coulter
Yeah I had the lack documentation issue a couple of years back. I could not
work out how to use the Alarm list control I thinkit was, and I ended up
finding out who wrote the control, from the source files I think, and I
email that person. They then sent me back a PDF on how to use it, so
documentation does exist for some controls, but like everything that’s free,
there is always a catch. In this case you might have to email the control
developer for the instructions :-)

2007-02-25 Thread John Bird
I notice a lot of the source has names like jvBands Etc - does this
mean they are from Jan Verhaven which means I might find out more on his web
site? - I have used some of his stuff before...

Anyone elses opinions on the best goodies in JEDI? Or elsewhere for that
matter?
