Same for me - had a look two days ago and now I still feel the same.
Only visual it gives me the idea that the 6 should turn clockwise one or
two degrees.. Prolly because the font and the placing in the background.

Yes I know the Å is as Danish as it can be, but the City of Aarhus chose some

 Hi KJ,
 Thanks for the proposal.
 I like it ;-)

 BUT
Very important: Aarhus is spelled with double a and NOT the Å char.
 Very sensible for some people.

I read this special thing about Århus and Aarhus. It sounds a little bit
kidding as the Å is Danish and so it should be with a twinkle in one's eye on
the banner. I got to know Danisch people that they can laugh about themselves.
And I personally like the bagel over the A in the character set.
But of course, as it is sensible, I changed it:

It's time for the conference logo story again and we would like the
help of the Design Team for that :) The local team in Aarhus has
already added material and indications on this ticket:
 https://redmine.documentfoundation.org/issues/710
They would like to have feedback on the design and a better technical
quality. Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

Sorry for the late response.
I found some things:
+ It' a very simple (=danish) design
+ Using the silouette
0 Maybe change the silouette to a single green line without green area [1]
0 Do everybody know where Aarhus is? Maybe there should be some hint to Denmark
0 I personally would like to have the original logo with the The Document
Foundation
0 I don't know if the orange 2015 fits with the green coloured silouette
0 The right font does not seem to be Vegur, but something similar. Or it has
been drawn and squat in the width. The 2015 is another font, so you have
three fonts.
- There is no timestamp (22th to 25th september)
- The 2015 doesn't line to Conference. And Conference is a bit too near
by the green line.
- The LibO logo is too close to the left border
- The white bottom border is much bigger than the others.

Putting some things together I made an own proposal based on the logo of
2011 to 2014:
