[Bug 36321] Re: Incomplete logout options with XGL
Hello, I'v got the same problem as cbudden. When I logout in standard metacity (non-xgl) configuration, the normal Log Out Dialog appears, with all the options available. When I do the same while using XGL, the lower row isn't longer available (only: log out, switch user and lock screen) I do start XGL with a script after I logged in in GDM. [Bug 30378] Re: Joystick activity does not stop the screensaver
Unfortunately, gnome-screensaver checks the X event queue to determine when an event occurs, and most joystick using programs in ubuntu use the kernel event interface (or legacy /dev/js0) from libsdl. Regarding the mouse scroll, there is a limitation in X that only one client may trap button clicks at a time, so gnome-screensaver must ignore them in order to allow the program to see them. This is also annoying upstream (see src/gs-watcher-x11.c for the rant). ** Changed in: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) Status: Unconfirmed = Confirmed -- Joystick activity does not stop the screensaver https://launchpad.net/bugs/30378 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 43692] RE: [Bug 43692] Re: welcome screen shows user password
Yes, it is Ubuntu 5.10 32 bit (from official red CD), with standard installation. Yes, is within the Face Browser that lets you select a particular user to login in; on the rigth is the box where you insert the password. The first time you click on a username (actually we have defined 3) in the left face screen-area, in this box the password is readable for just a while. Afterthat, clicking on a user face/name shows you just the password- length showing the same bullet numbers, not the text anymore. diego maniacco -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Simon Law Sent: martedì 9 maggio 2006 00:08 To: Maniacco, Diego Subject: [Bug 43692] Re: welcome screen shows user password Hi Diego, Which version of 5.10 are you using? alsa-utils (1.0.10-1ubuntu10) dapper; urgency=low . * debian/asoundconf: - Remove the automatic prepending of '!' for non-numeric parameter values; this approach is flawed (see lengthy explanation in LP#31699). - Add two convenience functions set-default-card and reset-default-card which care for the correct handling of !defaults.pcm.card, defaults.ctl.card, defaults.pcm.device, and defaults.pcm.subdevice.
