[Bug 128521] Re: GNOME applications delay to start
I ran into the same problem on Ubuntu 7.10 / 64 bit ... looks like some kind of funkified host lookup. Note that it is considered very bad TCP/IP practice to put your own hostname on 127.0.0.1 Ubuntu seems to do a hack and add a line for 127.0.1.1 to /etc/hosts, which I removed as being also non-canonical IP networking - I put it back for now. [Bug 211302] Re: [hardy] resume displays Policy timeout is not valid. Please wait a few seconds and try again
Having looked at the code in gnome-power-manager, the first error in my log file could be bogus. It looks like this error comes up if it receives two commands too quickly (inside the timeout value). The first suspend may have been initiated pretty quickly after the previous resume, which is why the message appeared on suspend rather than resume. It seems odd that the error comes up telling you to try again, but then the suspend/resume succeeds anyway... This bug is a segfault of the smb cups backend that was fixed in Ubuntu 6.06. Please do not use it as a generic dumping ground for reporting issues with smb printing problems. [Bug 208524] Re: Gvfs ftp module doesn't display file whose name is longer than 42 characters
From bug #218010 : Steps to reproduce: 1. Log into a FTP serveur with a FTP client like FileZilla 2. Create a file called test test test test test test test test.mp3 3. Open the FTP server in nautilus Result : the file does not show in nautilus and trying to delete a folder that contains such files fail. This bug can be tested on this server : ftp://leservicetechnique.com/ username : username password : nothing ** Summary changed: - Gvfs ftp module doesn't display file whose name is longer than 42 characters + Files on FTP with 6 spaces in filename don't list in Nautilus ** Description changed: I uploaded file to my freebox hard drive (it is a french set top box) But the file didn't display in nautilus while it does well in gftp or anyother ftp client. With some tests i discovered that the file is not displayed if its name is longer than 42 characters. It is really easy to reproduce ... just open an ftp and rename a file in it to increase its length and the file will disappear from nautilus. + + Update : See comment #7 for steps to reproduce. -- Files on FTP with 6 spaces in filename don't list in Nautilus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/208524 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is the registrant for gvfs. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
