I have this problem on another distro (Archlinux) and the problem happen when I delete my old user and create a new user with an empty home. so I think this is a gnome problem, I post this information here may be it can help. There is no information on .xsession-errors and when I launch the application from terminal, no error is available on terminal too. The problem has gone away! I'm not sure how it got resolved. I update all the time so maybe an update fixed it? Same issue exists in Alpha 3 for Natty Narwhal. I second this, as it is very inconvenient when the panel is absent or inaccessible for some reason. I finally managed to find the command to log out of Gnome... (Information like that is hard to get when the panel isn't working, since Alt-F2 is part of the panel and therefore also inaccessible. Without Gnome-Do, they way I'd be able to launch apps is from the terminal.) Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince this PDF was generated on windows from a powerpoint slide. On windows, it has some gradated arrows (green/blue) from the left-hand green shape (house) to the left blue vertical bar, and from the right blue vertical bar to the the right-hand green rectangle. On Evince 2.30.3 on Lucid, the arrows don't display on the screen. However, when I print the document from Evince, they do appear on the paper.
