[Bug 731363] Re: Aisleriot solitaire not showing background texture

2011-03-21 Thread Robert Ancell
Support for background images in Aisleriot was removed:
http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-games/commit/?id=9ff16a30b2671b4cb58e02c4a81bf69b7d001251

We can set the color to something else, it will be a more significant
patch to re-enable background image support.

[Bug 736730] Re: gnome-panel in uninterruptible sleep after system call

2011-03-21 Thread Tom de Vries
It happened again this morning. This time I didn't have a nautilus open,
and there were no 'D' processes. One of the 2 sshfs mounts is unmounted,
the other one not. Killing the remaining sshfs gets gnome-panel to be
responsive again.

This starts to look a bit like https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source
/sshfs-fuse/+bug/554749.

[Bug 739222] [NEW] Please drop debian/patches/06_default_uri.patch

2011-03-21 Thread Matthew East
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: yelp

The latest version of gnome-user-docs, uploaded today to natty, uses the
default homepage ghelp:gnome-help. The patch
debian/patches/06_default_uri.patch which changes the default homepage
to the old URI is no longer necessary and should be dropped.

[Bug 211384] Re: gnome-appearance-properties no thumbnails

2011-03-21 Thread fzerorubigd
I have this problem on another distro (Archlinux) and the problem happen when I
delete my old user and create a new user with an empty home. so I think this is
a gnome problem, I post this information here may be it can help.
There is no information on .xsession-errors and when I launch the application
from terminal, no error is available on terminal too.
By closing the application (by close button) application release the terminal
(my prompt is back for another command) but application eat the CPU and by
sending SIGTERM I can kill the application.

2011-03-21 Thread Sebastien Bacher
to reply to comment #6 as well gnome-panel read the recently used files
and the gtk bookmarks to build the place menu list so if you are
references to those mounts there and it tries to get datas on the files
(to know if they are still available, what icon to display, etc) it will
hang if the call is blocking

[Bug 706947] Re: Rubbish Bin/Trash doesn't show deleted files

2011-03-21 Thread Mike M
The problem has gone away!

I'm not sure how it got resolved. I update all the time so maybe an update
fixed it?
Alternatively two things I did were to:

- enable deleting things without going to trash
- cleared out the content of the physical trash ~/.local/share/Trash/files

Anyway, it now works!

Same issue exists in Alpha 3 for Natty Narwhal. I noticed that Windows 7
also plays the Welcome sound file before the user is actually welcome,
but in my opinion that's no reason to follow their lead.

[Bug 401372] Re: When the keyboard shortcut for 'Log Out' is pressed (in karmic) the shutdown dialog is being displayed instead of the logout dialog

2011-03-21 Thread James M. Roche
I second this, as it is very inconvenient when the panel is absent or
inaccessible for some reason. I finally managed to find the command to
log out of Gnome... (Information like that is hard to get when the panel
isn't working, since Alt-F2 is part of the panel and therefore also
inaccessible. Without Gnome-Do, they way I'd be able to launch apps is
from the terminal.) Novice users would probably think they had no choice
but to shut down and re-start.

[Bug 739362] [NEW] the arrows in this PDF don't display, but do print

2011-03-21 Thread Andy Stanford-Clark
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evince

this PDF was generated on windows from a powerpoint slide. On windows, it has
some gradated arrows (green/blue) from the left-hand green shape (house) to the
left blue vertical bar, and from the right blue vertical bar to the the

On Evince 2.30.3 on Lucid, the arrows don't display on the screen.
However, when I print the document from Evince, they do appear on the paper.
