[Bug 868032] Re: nautilus progress window marked skipped, not managed by gnome-shell
@julo - They're separate bugs that exacerbate each other. If one worked, the other would not be such a problem. That said, I've tried building 3.2.1 with all Debian/Ubuntu patches removed, and I still get no notification, so #849733 must either be an upstream bug (the linked issue from bug #849733 only mentions testing with 3.1.0), or a packaging/dependency error. I've commented on that bug to the effect that it's not a duplicate, and will update any further progress relating to lack of notification there. @tensorpuddin - Nautilus has been updated to conditionally use the new persistent notifications introduced by gnome-shell (a la Empathy, et al), so clicking the notification should display a nice progress list attached to the notification area, if it was working. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/868032 Title: nautilus progress window marked skipped, not managed by gnome-shell To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/868032/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 885266] Re: Enabling DAAP service crashes rhythmbox
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Speaking as the (former) maintainer, this is really a bug in users- admin, but it's no longer developed since it's been replaced with the new GNOME control center applet upstream. (The new applet doesn't allow setting a password-less account.) If the bug had been reported against the gnome-system-tools, I'd had fixed the bug back in 2010, but now, it's too late for me... :-/ I don't think the workaround should be added in GDM, because I don't think it would be easy due to how PAM works. ** Package changed: gdm (Ubuntu) = gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Low = Medium ** Changed in: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-system-tools in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/577563 Title: Automatic login fails and computer hangs (Lucid) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-tools/+bug/577563/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 882976] Re: File Roller crashes when extracting to a samba share
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: file-roller (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: file-roller (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to file-roller in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/882976 Title: File Roller crashes when extracting to a samba share To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/882976/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 888355] Re: users-admin should not allow creation of users with encrypted home who aren't asked for password on login
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 577563 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/577563 Indeed. But users-admin is no longer developed, since it's been replaced with the new GNOME control center applet upstream. (The new applet doesn't allow setting a password-less account.) I don't think the workaround should be added in GDM, though, because I don't think it would be easy due to how PAM works.
