[Bug 75654] Re: deleted songs listed again when using library watch

2012-02-18 Thread wiertel
Originally I thought it is wrong that RB allows me to remove track but
the track is back again after restart. It simply did not seem to be
right behavior.

On the other hand what about deleted tracks? Would you allow to undo the
removing? Just wondering after reading this discussion.

[Bug 657544] Re: key bindings fail in multiple ways: names are wrong, new assignments don't work

2012-02-18 Thread Petko Ditchev
The relatively same problem in Precise : the key binding through G-C-C
or CCSM-Gnome-launch terminal (apparently the corresponding entry) ,
just don't work . A custom key binding in ccsm of course works (for
gnome-terminal) , since there is no problem with the app itself . My
system is up to date for the record .

I solve the issue editing the file

adding this line echo 4 /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness
(without quotes)
(i use 4 because is value in the middle, in fact 0 is the lower and 8 is the

2012-02-18 Thread turbolad
Public bug reported:

The Resume option is sometimes labelled as Pause when you wish to

[Bug 935019] Re: Quadrapassel: pause and resume option bug

2012-02-18 Thread turbolad
This occurs when you click out of its window and the game pauses - which it's
meant to do.
When you go in the Game menu to Resume the game, you have to click on
Pause to do so.

[Bug 874660] Re: Two finger scrolling works poorly - utouch to blame

2012-02-18 Thread Rafael P.
This is a regression issue, it used to work smoothly on previous versions
(though I couldn't tell when problems started).
Either it should be fixed upstream or the --disable-gestures option should be
activated by default.
Please update on the status of this bug.

[Bug 932446] Re: [sound-nua] gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_tree_model_get_valist()

2012-02-18 Thread JrZabott
Didn't worked for me... and i'm tired to reporting diferent bugs
anytime. LOL..

Thanks Marcel, i didn't knew that, i 'll read about tags in the 'wiki-
tags'. :D

I still think that my workaround is more simple ... than install a 'strange'
package, I used solutions entirelly suported, like dkms, and recommended for
Intel HDA to adjust the kernel to my audio device (if i'm right about what it
does), and sudo + control center, that I think it is not a big deal... but
whatever it is working for all of us, lets enjoy our favorite Youtube stuff,
and MP3 were we can. LOL...

Thanks for the workaround. =)

[Bug 877256] Re: Can't open .war format since Oneiric (java) (when kdelibs5-data is installed)

2012-02-18 Thread Kevin
I've tested File Roller 3.2.1 which Martin Pitt mentioned above and can
confirm that this bug no longer exists. I can now open war files without
any problem.

Thank you!

One minor problem I found is that the icon of war file is not properly
set. It looks like an empty text file but not a archive file.

[Bug 934288] [NEW] Nautilus Does not Display Menus

2012-02-18 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Nautilus (file manager) working fine, then not.

What happens is the menus stop displaying.

You select a menu item expecting a list of actions and you get about
four pixel wide little bump where the list normally displays.

I suspect it is there but being displayed under the menu bar where it is
not visible on the display.

[Bug 935599] [NEW] nautilus menubar still is displayed on top of the screen

2012-02-18 Thread JoseLuisTriana
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 826771 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/826771

Public bug reported:

The automatic upgrade system adviced me about many software updates, in
these updates I found a nautilus update in which the problem with the
nautilus menubar displayed on top of the screen in non Unity sessions,
like Gnome-shell is been fixed, but no, I still have this menu bar when
I use a transparent panel in a gnome-shell theme.

I was fortunate in the past, because I never had this bar in gnome-shell
neither in cinnamon before this update, but after the nautilus upadte I
have this menubar on top. I don't remember to have this menubar on top
of the screen when I made a fresh install until now.

[Bug 934445] Re: gnome-settings-daemon 3.3.5 crashed with SIGABRT in g_assertion_message() when my Wacom Bamboo 2FG 4x5 is plugged in

2012-02-18 Thread Robert Hooker
Can you attach a lsusb and xinput --list with the tablet plugged in? It
could be that libwacom just needs a definition for your tablet, the only
bamboo I see is here and it has special stylus handling for it.

http://linuxwacom.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitweb.cgi?p=linuxwacom/libwacom;a=blob;f=data
/bamboo-pen-and-
touch.tablet;h=424e11873e17c89e60acbd86f547815cac537da5;hb=064a4e45fb3e8e40d8a39346e3205fca40c23b00

Even if thats the case, a wacom g-s-d plugin problem definitely should
not be preventing the session from starting up..

[Bug 935755] [NEW] Evolution lost all mailboxes

2012-02-18 Thread Keith Norgrove
Public bug reported:

After upgrading Ubuntu to 11.10 I had to reinstall Evolution as it was deleted
bythe update. The new install picked up all my mail folders etc OK and I have
been using them for a couple of weeks. Then yesterday morning when I booted up
and opened Evolution all of the mailboxes have vanished. everything was fine
the previous night and the system shut down normally. When I connect to my
mailserver the mail appears to be downloaded but is not shown anywhere.
I have tries uninstalling and reinstalling using the Ubunto software centre and
it makes no difference.
I did create an archive with the old version but the new menus don't seem to
have an entry for archiving and retrieving archives.
advice welcome
Thanks

In the attachments described as “folding lines”, acrobat displays the
folding lines, but evince doesn't.

The other two attachments show no difference in rendering (but I don't know how
to remove them).

[Bug 935900] [NEW] login screen has no password field after aborting shutdown command

2012-02-18 Thread jason
Public bug reported:

After running the sudo shutdown +10 command, I ended up closing the
terminal and shutting down manually before the 10 minutes. After reboot
the login screen did not have a password field and when I would click on
my username it would say Authentication failed. I had no recent
updates installed via the update manager that would have otherwise have
caused this issue.

I resolved this issue by rebooting into recovery mode and re-installing
gnome-session using the command line:

sudo apt-get purge --reinstall install gdm gnome-session

This bug was reported previously here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm/+bug/666595

But it was closed due to inactivity.

Description:Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS

Expected: To be able to type password
Instead: No password field displayed

** Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu)
