[Bug 1968929] Re: Missing Wayland login option on NVIDIA systems

2023-05-19 Thread Nagle-animats
This is the tracking bug for the followup from the previous failed
attempt to fix the problem, which was
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/+bug/1969243/comments/37

Now this bug has been closed, although the problem is not fixed, as
indicated by reports above.

Where is the followup bug for the followup bug for the failed attempt to
fix the problem?

Additional discussion with more details:
https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2486867
Screenshots there.

Did these fixes make it into Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS?

[Bug 2019994] Re: Update gnome-calendar to 44.1

2023-05-19 Thread Steve Langasek
Hello Jeremy, or anyone else affected,

Accepted gnome-calendar into lunar-proposed. The package will build now
and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-
calendar/44.1-0ubuntu1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed
repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how
to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this
update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, what testing has been
performed on the package and change the tag from verification-needed-
lunar to verification-done-lunar. If it does not fix the bug for you,
please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-
failed-lunar. In either case, without details of your testing we will
not be able to proceed.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance for helping!

N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s)
fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in
-proposed for a minimum of 7 days.

[Bug 1987976] Re: firefox black window on wayland

Please note that installing the mutter binary package is not sufficient.
I suspect that you need to do:

sudo apt install libmutter-12-0/lunar-proposed gir1.2-mutter-12/lunar-
proposed

(and relogin)

Please try that and let us know if it helps.

[Bug 2020009] Re: F9 no longer hides side pane

2023-05-19 Thread Coeur Noir
Ok I have to make amends in this respect - it's still there, maybe less
straightforward but there, plus different icon sizes in each window (
nice ! )

Maybe just the location of the « side pane = F9 » button is weird ? I
don't know really why, but I expected it at bottom left, not at top left
( but that's because I'm used to windows controls at top left, also. )

Still, it could faster to hit F9 to hide side pane instead of waiting to
find the right window width for it to hide by itself.

[Bug 2020211] [NEW] .sudo_as_admin_successful not created as domain user

2023-05-19 Thread Mélodie Vibert
Public bug reported:

When running a command as "sudo", an empty file
".sudo_as_admin_successful" is supposed to be created in the user's home
directory.

The problem occurs only on domain accounts, local accounts do generate the file
".sudo_as_admin_successful".
To give admin rights on the machine to certain domain users, this line was
added to /etc/sudoers :
