GNOME 40.3 released

2021-07-19 Thread Abderrahim Kitouni
Hi,

GNOME 40.3 is now available. This is a stable bugfix release for GNOME
40. All operating systems shipping GNOME 40 are encouraged to upgrade.

If you want to compile GNOME 40.3, you can use the official
BuildStream project snapshot:

https://download.gnome.org/teams/releng/40.3/gnome-40.3.tar.xz

The list of updated modules and changes is available here:

https://download.gnome.org/core/40/40.3/NEWS

The source packages are available here:

https://download.gnome.org/core/40/40.3/sources/

GNOME 40.3 is designed to be a boring bugfix update for GNOME 40, so
it should be safe to upgrade from earlier versions of GNOME 40.

Enjoy,

GNOME 41.alpha released

2021-07-19 Thread Jordan Petridis via desktop-devel-list
Hi,

GNOME 41.alpha is now available. This is the first unstable release
leading to 41 stable series.

If you want to compile GNOME 41.alpha, you can use the official
BuildStream project snapshot. Thanks to BuildStream's build sandbox,
it should build reliably for you regardless of the dependencies on
your host system:

https://download.gnome.org/teams/releng/41.alpha/gnome-41.alpha.tar.xz

The list of updated modules and changes is available here:

https://download.gnome.org/core/41/41.alpha/NEWS

The source packages are available here:

https://download.gnome.org/core/41/41.alpha/sources/

WARNING!

This release is a snapshot of development code. Although it is
buildable and usable, it is primarily intended for testing and hacking
purposes. GNOME uses odd minor version numbers to indicate development
status.

For more information about 41 release, the full schedule, the official module
lists and the proposed module lists, please see our 41 wiki page:
