Hi all, There is some German strings that I'm not able to translate, anybody here can give me some hints on them? Are you sure, you have to translate it? Looks like someone merged all paper and label formats into translatable strings not thinking at all (or not much). Maybe there is an issue about that or should we file one? But I'm not sure who is the guilty one we should complains to and ask him to translate all these strings in English *first* ;) Are labels a Writer component ? Hi Sophie, The texts seem to be found by the following steps: 1. Start Writer of OpenOffice.org 3.0 or developer build. 2. File - New - Labels 3. In the tab Label choose Avery Zweckform from Brand.' 4. Browse items listed in the combobox Type. Source file: http://svn.services.openoffice.org/ooo/tags/DEV300_m36/officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/Labels.xcu Installed file: /opt/openoffice.org/basis3.0/share/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/Labels.xcu It seems that the texts are names of products delivered by Avery. Brand Avery seems to list products available in the U.S. Brand Avery Zweckform seems to list ones available in Germany. They are available (though I've not checked for all), but I found that even French sites don't use the same explanations for those references. Hi All I did an extension for a local label manufacturer (Pimaco Autoadesivos, a company owned by Groupe Bic). IMHO, these labels should be packed as extension and left as duty to the manufacturer for translation or, to the interested community, but it should be off-loaded from the main development and concern for translators. We don't have Avery, Leitz, or Herma distributed in Brazil, so I am not sure if I have to spend time to translate them to pt-BR. I think several languages won't have the trademark in their country and do not have time nor resources to translate for German, so this xcu file should be distributed as extension.
