http://bugs.opencompositing.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1153 Danny Baumann changed: What|Removed |Added CC||erkin...@gmail.com Status|UNCONFIRMED |ASSIGNED Component|-Unknown|Plugin - Animation Ever Confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #8 from Danny Baumann 2009-04-16 07:02:08 --- >From your profile, the problem is immediately reproducable. It's the minimize animation being played for all windows. The switchers paint the icons to the place where the window normally is, not where it is after it's transformed due to the animation. Short-term workaround is setting the minimize animation match from "any" to "!(name=compiz)". Erkin, do you have any good idea for solving that one? What about not playing the minimize animation for windows that have w->hidden set? We'll still have this problem if someone sets a close animation different to fade for the switcher windows, though... and I'm not sure how the switchers can be made aware of the animation plugin modifying the window vertices. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.opencompositing.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Dev mailing list Dev@lists.compiz-fusion.org http://lists.compiz-fusion.org/mailman/listinfo/dev

http://bugs.opencompositing.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1153 --- Comment #7 from mescalinum 2009-04-15 20:44:03 --- it surely is a configuration issue. after producing the configuration export, I reset all config to default, then enabled only window decorations, move window and static switcher or app switcher, and I cannot reproduce this issue. either I solved the issue, or I should come up soon with a combination of option that exibits this issue. thanks for your time! -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.opencompositing.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Dev mailing list Dev@lists.compiz-fusion.org http://lists.compiz-fusion.org/mailman/listinfo/dev

I understood that part :) I just wanted to say that I could _not_ make staticswitcher draw incorrectly. > how do I control animation? I tried to reproduce that using the fade and the animation plugins, but failed. > (also I have now redraw problems with caret (the blinking bar that indicates > cursor position in text boxes) which previously I didn't have.) That's a driver problem - or rather a race condition in the design of the Xdamage extension. See e.g. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/269904?comments=all Can you re-do the video using slow animations (there is a key binding to enable them under General options -> Key bindings)?
