This seems like a bit of a superfluous feature for the effort required. This
doesn't really have any functional use as compared to cube sphere and cylinder
(better view) and would require a LOT of work to get right. Do you have any
examples of where this has been done before?

Sorry, I don't understand what the problem is here. If you have 2 workspaces
then you'll get a plane, not a three-dimensional object - that is not a bug.

However it seems your real request is to have the 'cube' (regardless how many
sides) wobble as you move it? Please clarify the request.
