Dear All,

the "Blog" link at the top-right corner of the homepage links to:
https://blogs.apache.org/ooo/
that is not valid.

It should have been:

https://blogs.apache.org/OOo

I fixed that now, but the redirection is a bit wrong (see ticket).

When it works we can of course use the "new" URL directly on our page.

Regards,

    Matthias

I think that the correct URL should rather be:
https://openoffice.apache.org/blogpage.html

I made a "git grep blogs.apache.org" and this URL appears in a _lot_
of files; for this reason I refrained to try fixing this myself.

I also suggest to make:
https://openoffice.apache.org/blog/
redirect to the above, correct URL
(or maybe, make _this_ the correct URL, as it looks easier to type).

I hope this helps.

Re: [discussion] looking for Contributor "campaign"

2023-06-10 Thread Peter Kovacs
I found out today I forgot a topic. In order to move forward i created a
"whishlist" of things on my mind.

currently no prioritization included. And if you feel a topic is missing
add it. so we get a better picture. Also some points are generic, to be
refined or improved.

so feel free to ask or enhance the list.

Before we talk about a timeline, let's do the basic tasks... A
"cleaner" source code may also attract volunteers/developers.

What do others think?

I like the Idea to utilize GitHub for this.

IMHO, the highest hurdle for new contributors, today, is our build
system, especially under Windows.

true!

All the best
