I've made a SVN rollback and repeat the Portlet 2 Plugin Integration

JIRA Wiki syntax

2011-06-27 Thread Maurizio Cucchiara
Hi everybody,
I've realized that the JIRA instance of Struts project allows only
comments in plain text format.
On the contrary the OGNL instance is able to handle comments in wiki format.
Looking the footer, it looks like is the same JIRA instance
(v4.3.4#620-r15266), so I'm wondering why we can't use wiki syntax
(maybe it's just a simple matter of configuration).

Yep, the renderer is configurable; I think you need to be a JIRA admin to do
it, but don't recall. (I actually brought this up several years ago, IIRC; I
like having markup available.)

Good question. As far as I recall, and as far as I can determine,
previous moves to the archive have been by lazy consensus. Thus as
long as nobody's objecting here, we can go ahead and do the same
thing.

IMHO, as long as we have at least one regular dot release in which
something is deprecated, it's reasonable to remove it in a subsequent
dot release.
