Re: [SailfishDevel] [Official Announcement] Join the Sailfish Community Device Program now!

2016-05-26 Thread Oskari Tulonen

Hi,

I had the same issue with Finland not appearing as an option until I
chose the country and language as "Suomi" on the bottom of the page.
After that, Finland was listed as an option. I am not sure whether there
is a similar trick that works for Switzerland.

Kind regards,
Oskari Tulonen

Hello,

The announcement says “Jolla C device can be shipped to EU countries, Norway and
Switzerland” but I can’t select Switzerland as shipping country.

Well, there was no option for Finland either! :(
What I did is I just ignored it, and set my country as "France" and added
sender information that my country is FINLAND in reality...

Hi,

This is already reported on together.jolla.com, as you can see here:

Hi everyone,

Since I read many mailing lists, I often want to reply to them while I'm
on-the-go, but sadly, it seems that you can't really do this on the
Jolla. I've found multiple bugs that basically render it extremely
inconvenient (or sometimes even impossible) to reply to mailing list
messages with the Jolla email app.

I'm actually not sure if anyone in Jolla ever tried to use a mailing
list with the device, otherwise their QA would've found these bugs very
easily.

- When you hit Reply on a mailing list email, the To field of the
reply is the sender of the email, not the mailing list address.
- There is no Reply All on a mailing list email, only if it has
multiple recipients.
- Even if Reply All is there and you choose that, the mailing list
address is still not included in either To or CC.
- When you get a message from a contact (contact = someone in your
People app), you can't edit the To field of the reply; meaning if you
got a message from someone on a mailing list who also happens to be in
your contact list, you can't even manually add the mailing list address
to the reply.

Has anyone else also encountered these bugs?
Can someone from Jolla confirm that there're people working on fixing them?

Thanks,
Timur

Right, I didn't make the connection. I noticed the mailing list problem
earlier:

https://lists.sailfishos.org/pipermail/devel/2013-December/001867.html

Other email app issues are mentioned here:
https://lists.sailfishos.org/pipermail/devel/2013-December/002034.html

These are what I could find so far on the mailing list. I haven't
encountered the uneditable To-field yet.

Re: [SailfishDevel] Sailfish app to monitor network traffic ?

2013-12-13 Thread Oskari Tulonen

Hi Winfried,

In Settings app you can go to System settings - Data counters. This
will show you Sent/Received for Mobile data (Home network, Roaming) and
WLAN. Maybe others, but these are what I can currently see. It does not
show current speed, only the totals since last reset.

Best regards,
Oskari

Hi all,

A question to those who already received their Jolla phone: is there an
application to monitor the amount of data going over the network, especially
over the 3G/4G connection ?

If not, is there already someone developing one?

Otherwise I might have a go at it.

Winfried
