At one time a couple of years ago we did this in my district with little web
cams through MSN instant messenger.  I think you can do it through AOL
instant messenger too.  However, I'm not sure if instant messenger software
is blocked in your schools.  It is now in ours but I got a special account
from our techies to use for this when we did it.  Also we only did 2
connections at once, so I'm not sure if these support multiple connections
at the same time.

 conferencing

IESC Geekcorps http://www.geekcorps.org is looking for a part-time 
Geekcorps Associate. IESC Geekcorps focuses on promoting economic 
development through information and communication technologies.  It is a 
2006 Tech Museum Award Laureate in Economic Development and its activities 
are featured in national and international press.

The IESC Geekcorps Associate, under the direction of the IESC Geekcorps 
Director, is responsible for performing two main activities:

   1. Assisting the Director in marketing Geekcorps capacity and programs 
to international development funding agencies.
   2. Managing Geekcorps qualified technology expert (volunteer and 
consultant) recruitment and placement in international economic 
development programs.

To perform these two activities, the IESC Geekcorps Associate should have 
the following skills and abilities:

* An excellent command of English, both written and verbal
* Knowledge of website design and online content management systems
* Familiarity with the information and communication technology (ICT) 
industry
* Confidence in evaluating candidates via email and telephone 
interviews
* Prompt, responsive, and persistent in completing tasks and 
assignments

Candidates with experience in the developing world and with volunteers are 
strongly encouraged to apply. This position is located in Washington, DC 
and is currently part-time.  It would be perfect for some in graduate 
school looking for experience in international development.  The ideal 
start date would be on or before October 23, 2006.
