Re: [DDN] Free/low-cost voicemail for non-profits

2005-09-28 Thread Cindy Cooper
Hi Charlie,

I use Innoport. It's not free - $4.95 a month - but I get email recordings of
my calls, which is great when I travel. Can also receive and send faxes. I
haven't opted for their tollfree line, but it's available for more $.

There's a company called Better World Telecom that might be willing to do
something special for a nonprofit: http://www.betterworldtelecom.com/

Is anyone aware of low-cost or (ideally) free voicemail services available
to non-profit orgs? One of my pro-bono clients is in a real bind here and
needs to transition as quickly as possible. A toll-free gateway would also
be very helpful. Thoughts?

Many thanks,
Charlie Meisch

Charlie, I don't know how low is low cost, but Skype offerings are worth
checking out. One can get a SkypeIn number (number that can be called
from cell and POTS) for approx $36 for a year. And it comes with voicemail.

Maybe that is good enough?
