Re: [slim] Controller won't wake up ?
Updated my SC and the remote to 7.0.1 r2287. I didn't notice any slowdowns or other problems, but Slacker seemed to be stopping after one song until I updated the library. And it could be my imagination, but the remote did seem to be warmer to the touch. Anyway, it still locked up the same as before. No music playing, everything on pause. :( -- casonbang casonbang's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1459 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45903 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Sorry, by turns back on I meant reboots. Oddly though, it hasn't done it the last 2 days. -- casonbang casonbang's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1459 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45903 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Controller won't wake up ?
It locked up again today. I think I've been running torrents and peerguardian on the server computer when this happens and I find myself wondering if it could be related... -- casonbang casonbang's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1459 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45903 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Sychronization with SqueezeCenter 7.0?
Have you tried doing a clear library and rescan? When I first installed SqueezeCenter 7 I was also having problems with sync sounding choppy and being off 10 secons or more, even for radio stations. At first I thought it was a softsqueeze problem, but it happened even when syncing only hardware devices. Somewhere along the way of playing with things it started working and I remember one of the things I noticed was that my library was missing quite a few songs. A scan for new wasn't picking them up so I did a full rescan. I wasn't able to duplicate the problem so I'm not sure if that was actually what fixed it. -- casonbang casonbang's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1459 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46337 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Controller scratch
Thanks for this tip! I've had my Duet for a week or two and hadn't noticed it yet, but sure enough scratch marks were developing on the back. I cut a 1/2 inch strip of black sticky-back felt wide enough for the back and stuck it on the inside of the stand with just a tiny bit covering the top edge. Looks fine and as a bonus the remote slides in a little smoother and has a more solid feeling in the stand. -- casonbang casonbang's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1459 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45139 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Controller won't wake up ?
I've been having the same issue. I will set the remote down and when I pick it up several hours later the buttons are lit, but the screen never comes on. Holding the home button down usually will turn the remote off for me, then I can turn it back on. It doesn't seem to happen more than once a day and it seems to be at night that it locks up like this. I'm running the 7.01 beta on XP. -- casonbang casonbang's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1459 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45903 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

I still haven't figured out why. They just say oh, it looks like an iPod, that's cool and hand it back. Why don't they get it? I would like some sort of simple interface for guests that works as you say... nondestructive and instantly intuitive. I don't even know if it would have to be an entirely different interface. Might be just as effective with a more simplified menu just for choosing music and adding it... that's all guests get to do! As for the flash... I find the web interface completely abysmal. I think that a dedicated program would be 10 times better than all of the web versions out there. The default skin is way too limited... it doesn't even support drag n drop. The only way I see the situation improving is with flash-based skins. Where are they? -- casonbang casonbang's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1459 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46157 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Or were you thinking about dragging from left pane to right pane? Yup, I was thinking dragging left to right to build playlists. All too often I go to click the tiny add to playlist button and miss by a pixel or two... and then my whole playlist is wiped out. :-( SlimFX looks very cool. I've been afraid to try it because it's been so long since it was updated. But maybe I'll give it a go... SlimRemote has been my favorite in the past, but it hasn't been updated for SC7 either... [slim] Loose Scrollwheel on SBC/Duet
The scrollwheel on my SBC seems very loose. It doesn't have any friction at all and it makes it difficult to control I read in the developer forums that this was a problem with some early builds. Do all of the SBC's ship with such a loose wheel or is mine defective? -- casonbang casonbang's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1459 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46078 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] How to get Artwork?
After my first scan, SC7 was only displaying a few of my embedded artworks. Rescan didn't fix it. Reading this thread prompted me to do a clear/full scan and that worked! Also, it appears that new embedded artwork IS found with scan for new and changed. -- casonbang casonbang's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1459 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44344 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
