Re: [libreoffice-documentation] Publishing the 6.4 Calc Guide
Go for it Steve! Thank you Leo Op 15/06/2020 om 11:52 schreef Steve (GMail): All, All chapters of the 6.4 Calc Guide have been updated and completed their first reviews. There are eight chapters that still theoretically need a second review. However the tracking spreadsheet indicates that none of these chapters are currently being worked on by anybody. Also these chapters went through a full review cycle at 6.2 and so the risk of omitting a second review now doesn't seem great. Therefore I propose to start the process of issuing the Calc Guide ("as is") with immediate effect. This task will require a few days effort from me, as I have not published one of our books before. Also I would like to enable the alphabetical index at the end of the book and improve it to a useful state. If anybody has a problem with this approach, please advise as soon as possible. Re: [libreoffice-documentation] Updating front and back covers of guides
HI Steve My preferred approach is to change the digit 2 to 4 in the ODG file that contains the cover for Calc. Then I export the whole cover as SVG file and insert (replace image) in the new Guide as SVG. I prefer svg over png or jpeg because of the vector nature of the svg drawing and is supposed to be accurate, that is, no blurr or artifacts. Same for the back cover. I all cases, check the resulting PDF quality of the covers. regards Olivier Em 15/06/2020 16:39, Steve (GMail) escreveu: > Hi Olivier, > I’m sorry to ask a daft question but I know that you recently did some > work on the Calc Guide’s master files and I’m hoping that you can point > me in the right direction. > Please could you (or somebody else) indicate the preferred method of > updating the front and back cover pages (from 6.2 to 6.4)? > Regards, > > Steve -- Olivier Hallot LibreOffice Documentation Coordinator Comunidade LibreOffice Rio de Janeiro - Brasil - Local Time: UTC-03:00 http://tdf.io/joinus -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: documentation+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: https://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/documentation/ Privacy Policy: https://www.documentfoundation.org/privacy
