Subject: [DOTNET-ROTOR] Public Release of RAIL
Dear all,
We are pleased to announce the first public release of the RAIL project. The RAIL
package consists in a Runtime Assembly Instrumentation Library for the .NET platform.
With RAIL it's possible to:
-- Read and present the contents of an assembly in an object-oriented way to
the programmer
-- Easily change references to fields, properties, methods and classes
-- Iterate and change IL code
-- Insert prologues and epilogues in method bodies
-- Replace the access to fields by methods
-- Selectively copy parts of an assembly
All the structure is high-level, object-oriented, and makes use of design patterns.
If you care for experimenting with this package, please *do* send us an email. This is
the first release of the project and we are interested in gathering the maximum
possible feedback from users and at the same time correct any issues and bugs that are
discovered. And, if you think a particular feature would be useful, we are open to
suggestions.
