John B,
Could you please update the dqsd.net contrib page where the link is
posted for my events file generator. I wanted to include the word
Recurring to be more descriptive:
Monty's Recurring Events File Generator -
http://www.master-minds.net/dqsd/events.htm
Monty has created a page to make creating recurring events files simple.
Also I would like to include a link to a page which merely lists and
describes the searches:
Monty's Search Table of Contents -
http://www.master-minds.net/dqsd/genreference/searchtoc.pl
Monty has created a page for viewing a table of all the searches
Thanks!
Monty

However, I wonder how kosher that would be...? If GeekTools
recognized
this
as a problem, and took measures, maybe they don't want to
expose their
service other than from the actual web.
Good question. I'd have to agree with you on that. I'm just
familure with gtwhois so I figured why not make it work.
Hopefully they will respond to Shawn's email with a positive
note. Else, I'll find a new whois search :) Thanks guys!

Subject: RE: [DQSD-Users] GTwhois Search fails
Hi Ian,
It looks like geektools (gtwhois search) is now checking
the referer
to make sure it comes from their site. Is there anyway to
spoof that
in DQSD?
I'm not sure if it's possible to spoof the refer(r)er from
within DQSD, my guess is not without considerable work.
However, I wonder how kosher that would be...? If GeekTools
recognized this as a problem, and took measures, maybe they
don't want to expose their service other than from the actual web.
I'm not sure if there is some 'DQSD code of honor', but I
suggest the gtwhois search should probably be dropped from
DQSD instead.
Besides, there are like 7 other whois tools (? whois) bundled
with DQSD, so it's not like gtwhois is unique.
Just my 2c - other opinions?
Kim
