Re: [Draconet-users] Failing with: ss.exe exit code:100 - RESENT

2004-02-09 Thread Nick Robinson
Hi Bryan,

I have missed all these mail transactions over the weekend, but it seems like you have
got yourself sorted if the SSDIR variable works. The reason it
is needed is due to how SourceSafe works from the command line. The commandline needs
the specific path to the dir of your VSS DB set in some
variable. However, as far as I know the latest version of Draco actually sets the
SSDIR before making a call to SS.EXE to perform the operations.
Maybe there is a problem with that.

Why would this make a difference? What did you do? Create an environment var
called SSDIR? I will try but I don't understand why this would make a diff.

  Thanks.

Do you try to setup the SSDIR variable (it specify the path to the VSS ini file
) in environnement variables ? I add it and it works (after a reboot).

2004-02-09 Thread Bryan Andrews
Yes that is what I thought - thus the SSDIR setting in the config file. What is really
strange is that it was working (albeit slow) on another workstation without the
environment var so when that was the proposed solution I was a little baffled.

Thanks for the response.
