[Dspace-tech] Metadata visibility and authorization
Hello, I need to show all metadata elements for items in DSpace for authenticated users belonging to certain group and only subset of the elements for anonymous users and harvesters. I have read in documentation that item metadata is always visible despite the authorization settings. Does it mean that it's impossible to implement what I want? [Dspace-tech] collection logo link?
Hi, I'm on dspace 1.4.2. I need the collection logo image to be a link to a full size version of itself. I searched the maling lists archives and the documentation but couldn't find anything. This doesn't look difficult. Has anyone developed it? I'm not sure how to approach it. [Dspace-tech] Thesaurus functionality for DSpace 1.5x
Has anyone attempted to use a thesaurus with DSpace 1.5x? I know that the Controlled-Vocabulary Add-on was supposed to provide that functionality for 1.4.2, but I didn't know if anyone had ported it to 1.5. I would love to be able to use TGM with our installation. Re: [Dspace-tech] Metadata visibility and authorization
Hello, I know that I can control access to bistreams. And... that there is option xmlui.bitstream.mets in dspace.cfg: Optionally you may configure Manakin to take advantage of metadata stored as a bitstream. The METS metadata file must be inside the METADATA bundle and named either METS.xml. If this option is set to true and the bitstream is present then the stored METS file is merged with the METS file generated by Manakin for each item. Thus if the bitstream contains a dmdSec then there will be two dmdSec one from the bitstream and another generated from the Dublin Core stored inside the database. It does not work for me so far. Do I need special handle to retrieve metadata from METS.xml? [Dspace-tech] Navigation search suddenly stopped working (DSpace 1.5.2)
Im experiencing DSpace 1.5.2 (taken from svn branch 1_5_x). I noticed that the search on left side navigation results to Page not found. We can't find the page you asked for. in XMLUI. I dont know if this is caused by something I did or the installation itself. Logfile doesnt show any errors. How could I debug this?
