Hi Meron,

assuming you're using the Mirage theme (the default in DSpace 3.0),
you can change it here in the source directory:
[dspace-src]/dspace-xmlui/src/main/webapp/themes/Mirage/images/dspace-logo-only.png

and here in the directory where DSpace is installed:
[dspace]/webapps/xmlui/themes/Mirage/images/dspace-logo-only.png

No, the stacktrace from the previous thread is all I needed.

The problem is the last backslash, which escapes the right apostrophe,
so the apostrophes are unbalanced, ergo the syntax error from Solr.

Now I didn't find anybody else having this problem, so it will be one
of two things:
a) some local modification of your code inserts the backslash
b) your data contains the backslash (possibly an escaped backslash,
i.e. two backslashes)

You are the only one who can check a). Assuming b), does this return anything?

[Dspace-tech] how το load a file to an external site (on view/open section)

2013-03-04 Thread Μάριος Πετρόπουλος
Hallo  all !!

As a follow to a previous difficulty i had , here i am again with another one.

I would like to ask if there is a way to load an item from Dspace to an
external site.

Bassically on my project , all of my items in every collection/community
include pdf files only.

All i want is ,when the user is in the item section and press the view/open
button,to be prompted to another website (bypassing the classic view file
section) were the  file
will be opened from there with another format (in particular a page flip
format).

So from my point of view ,at first, i would like to know if it is possible for
Dspace to link a file with another website.

The redirection part though,i managed to make it with your help by changing
some templates but i can't manage to link the pdf file between d space and the
targeted site..

I am using  Manakin dspace 1.5.2 on xmlui

Thank you !!!

I'm not sure what you mean. You mean to construct a link to the target site
using the DSpace bitstream name?
This should work (I didn't test it, though):

xsl:template match=mets:fileGrp[@USE='CONTENT']
xsl:param name=context/
xsl:param name=primaryBitstream select=-1/

h2i18n:textxmlui.dri2xhtml.METS-1.0.item-files-head/i18n:text/h2

xsl:attribute name=href
xsl:value-of
select='http://example.com/link/to/fulltext/' +
mets:file/mets:FLocat/@xlink:title /
/xsl:attribute
xsl:textLink to fulltext on external site/xsl:text

Hi Rodrigo,

this is almost certainly a bad idea. You want to do ePub - PDF, not
the other way around.

There isn't much documentation on writing a custom media filter [1],
but this could also be done just as well using a curation task, which
is documented much better [2].

[Dspace-tech] Question about restrictions in XMLUI

2013-03-04 Thread George S Kozak
Hi...

I am using DSpace 1.82. We are currently using the JSPUI, but I am working on
migrating to the XMLUI interface (modified Mirage theme).

I have a collection in which all of the bitstreams are restricted, but the
metadata can be viewed by anonymous users.

I can view the collection homepage fine in JSPUI, but in XMLUI, I see This
collection is restricted and a request to login before I can view the
collection homepage.

Is this how the XMLUI interface handles collections with restricted items or do
I have something set up wrong?

If this is how it works, can someone tell me where I can go in and modify
things to work as they do in the JSPUI?

Thank you in advance.

Re: [Dspace-tech] Adding static pages

2013-03-04 Thread Barnes, Hugh
Hi Guillermo

I have only just joined this list and am not familiar with DSpace or its source
code yet, but I know XSLT and think I understand your confusion.

You seem to be looking at this file:

https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/master/dspace-xmlui/src/main/webapp/themes/dri2xhtml.xsl

... and expecting to see another template to match dri:body, which you can
override (replace).

I think the instructions you link to are suggesting that this template should
be added to that file, rather than replacing a template within it. In terms of
the templates applied, the new template will override any others that already
apply to dri:body (subject to any other precedence in place). That's what
override means in that context.

So add that template code from the example after the xsl:output/ element and
before the closing /xsl:stylesheet.

Putting your overriding template in there will automatically give it a higher
precedence than templates in any other XSL files it imports. Template
precedence is explained briefly in section 1.2.2.4 of that tutorial:

https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/Manakin+theme+tutorial#Manakinthemetutorial-Overriderulesfortemplates:priority,importprecedence,andmodes.

Hope that all works for you and my lack of familiarity with DSpace does not
render this solution misguided!

Hi! I'm trying to add some static pages to my DSpace installation (v3.1) later

dri2xhtml.xsl with

xsl:template match=dri:body

select=/dri:document/dri:meta/dri:pageMeta/dri:metadata/
xsl:variable name=pageName
select=$meta[@element='request'][@qualifier='URI']/

'.xhtml'))/

h1This is a simple ABOUT page/h1
xsl:apply-templates /
/div
/xsl:when

and I don't find anything like that on my different dri2xhtml.xsl files.

Can anyone help me? Thanks.
