[Dspace-tech] Previous step in Configurable Reviewer Workflow
Hi, I've a repository with DSpace 3.2 which I want to do an adaptation of the default workflow. I enabled the ' Configurable Reviewer Workflow ' and I've adapted to the roles and steps I need and it works perfectly . My workflow consists of 2 steps with 2 different roles. I would like to make in the last step a button that would make a 'reject' to return item revision to the previous step and NO the first step. At this time, the 'reject ' button that comes by default in DSpace returns the item to the submitter , but I DON'T want this, I want to return to the PREVIOUS step for review item to the corresponding group , NO to the submitter of the item . I have reviewed the code of the step that offers 'reject' button by default in DSpace and I've observed that Java method ' WorkspaceItem sendWorkflowItemBackSubmission ' in class ' XmlWorkflowManager ' but this method NOT done what I want , because it returns the item to submitters. Is there any method done in DSpace that a reject returns the item back to the previous step and NO the first? Any indication that anybody can give me to do it? That's a good approach for your use case - storing permissions in the repository. But let me give you a suggestion. If you create a new bundle, it will be listed in the METS file and unless you restrict the bitstrean access rights, it will be accessible (if you know how to find out its URL from the METS file). A better way would be to use the LICENSE bundle for storing permissions, because it' not shown in the list of bundles by defaut. In either case, you should still make sure to remove Anonymous READ access from the file. You probably do that, I'm just making sure. [Dspace-tech] Simple Archive Format item directory names
Hello list, Recently I batch-imported some items via the CLI without changing the item directory names to item_000, item_001, etc. This was a mistake, but to my great surprise, it worked. I've searched the archives and documentation, but can't actually come up with the answer to whether this is legitimately permissible. Is it? If yes, my map files become MUCH more useful. Was the convention item_000, item_001, etc adopted in the documentation for illustration purposes, or do I actually HAVE to name my item folders according to this scheme? Re: [Dspace-tech] Scopus Citations Count Integration
Hello Solomon, I'm sorry if I can't pinpoint what's causing that error but here's what I did in our repository. In your item-view.xsl, locate this line of code: xsl:template name=itemSummaryView-DIM !-- Generate the info about the item from the metadata section -- xsl:apply-templates select=./mets:dmdSec/mets:mdWrap[@OTHERMDTYPE='DIM']/mets:xmlData/dim:dim mode=itemSummaryView-DIM/ After that piece of code, copy paste these javascript code: script type=text/javascript xsl:text disable-output-escaping=yes document.write('lt;script type=text/javascript src= http://api.elsevier.com/javascript/scopussearch.jspgt; lt;/' + 'scriptgt;'); callbackCitedbycount = function(){ if (sciverse.areSearchResultsValid()) { var resultObj = sciverse.getSearchResults(); if (resultObj.returnedResults gt;0) { citedbycount = resultObj.results[0].citedbycount; eid = resultObj.results[0].eid; if (citedbycount gt; 0) { citeHtml = 'lt;span class=boldgt;Cited:lt;/spangt; '; if (eid != null) { citeHtml += 'lt;a href= http://www.scopus.com/scopus/search/submit/citedby.url?src=samp;origin=recordpageamp;eid= '; citeHtml += eid; citeHtml += ' class=citing-link target=_new title=View citing articles in Scopusgt;'; citeHtml += citedbycount; citeHtml += 'lt;/agt;#160;times in lt;span class=boldgt;Scopuslt;/spangt;'; } articleLink = resultObj.results[0].inwardurl; if (articleLink != null) { citeHtml += '#160;#160;lt;smallgt;(lt;a href='; citeHtml += articleLink; citeHtml += ' class=article-link target=_new title=View record in Scopus gt;'; citeHtml += 'View record in Scopus'; citeHtml += 'lt;/agt;)lt;/smallgt;'; } /xsl:text var citecountsScopus = $(#citecounts-scopus); citecountsScopus.html(citeHtml); citecountsScopus.removeClass('hidden'); citecountsScopus.show('blind'); $(#citecounts-scopus a.citing-link).click(function(){ if (_gaq != null) { _gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'Citecount links','Scopus citing items','xsl:value-of select=./mets:dmdSec/mets:mdWrap[@OTHERMDTYPE='DIM']/mets:xmlData/dim:dim/dim:field[@element='identifier' and @qualifier='uri']/']); } }); $(#citecounts-scopus a.article-link).click(function(){ if (_gaq) { _gaq.push(['_trackEvent','Citecount links','Scopus article','xsl:value-of select=./mets:dmdSec/mets:mdWrap[@OTHERMDTYPE='DIM']/mets:xmlData/dim:dim/dim:field[@element='identifier' and @qualifier='uri']/']); } }); } } } } runSearch = function() { //setting defaults sciverse.setApiKey(*REPLACE-THIS-WITH-YOUR-SCOPUS-API-KEY*); sciverse.setCallback(callbackCitedbycount); //setting search query xsl:text disable-output-escaping=yesvar strQuery = DOI(/xsl:textxsl:value-of select=./mets:dmdSec/mets:mdWrap[@OTHERMDTYPE='DIM']/mets:xmlData/dim:dim/dim:field[@element='identifier' and @qualifier='doi']/xsl:text disable-output-escaping=yes); var varSearchObj = new searchObj(); varSearchObj.setSearch(strQuery); varSearchObj.setNumResults('1'); //launching search try { sciverse.runSearch(varSearchObj); } catch(err) { } }; runAfterJSImports.add(runSearch); /xsl:text /script And then paste the code in *bold* where you want the scopus citation count to appear. In our case, I put it under the citation field (I assumed that you already knew how to customize what fields to display in simple item view): !-- Citation row -- xsl:when test=$clause = 9 and (dim:field[@element='identifier' and @qualifier='citation' and descendant::text()]) *div id=citecounts-scopus class=simple-item-view-other citecounts hidden#160;/div* Hoped this helps, P.S. Please take note that I have created a custom tag, dc.identifier.doi that holds the value for the item's DOI (without the http://dx.doi.org/).
Re: [Dspace-tech] Simple Archive Format item directory names
Hi Vika, I guess the SimpleArchiveFormat structure isn't too strict, or overly defined, its simple after all. As far as DSpace is concerned, it takes your Simple Archive Format (parent) directory, and then iterates over the list of subfolders, processing each folder as an Item. If your in to code: https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/93fc28277e2414ffe8da4f9c5da453bc597104bc/dspace-api/src/main/java/org/dspace/app/itemimport/ItemImport.java#L768 String[] dircontents = d.list(directoryFilter); Arrays.sort(dircontents); for (int i = 0; i dircontents.length; i++) { addItem(c, mycollections, sourceDir, dircontents[i], mapOut, template); So, they don't even have to be numbered, just unique (filesystem requirement), but if your using a tool to generate the SAF package, a simple way to make unique, is to increment a number. You can find a description on SAFPackager (a tool I use to create batch packages): https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/Simple+Archive+Format+Packager Official docs for DSpace Item Import (that uses a SAF Package): https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC4x/Importing+and+Exporting+Items+via+Simple+Archive+Format Peter Dietz On Thu, Feb 13, 2014 at 8:56 AM, Vika Zafrin vzaf...@bu.edu wrote: Thanks, Claudia! [Dspace-tech] ldap authentication after upgrade 1.8 to 3.2
Hello, I upgraded from 1.8.2 to 3.2. The ldap new user registration was not working properly after the upgrade. A new user could authenticate, and was registered, but the ldap attributes would not populate (sn,givenname,mail). Existing users were unaffected. I was not using ldap-hierarchical, and so the changes for ldap in the upgrade notes did not apply to me. I tried adding a search.user and search.password hoping it would then look up the attributes and got partial results, the mail attribute came through, but the sn and givenname still did not. I looked in dspace.log and there was no error, see below for log details. I then reverted to dspace 1.8.2 (with no ldap-hierarchical) and verified that the new users do correctly auto-register with their mail, sn, givenname attributes populated on the old codebase. Perhaps this is a bug introduced with the new combining of ldap-hierarchical and ldap authn methods. Thanks for any insight. Re: [Dspace-tech] Scopus Citations Count Integration
Hi Nemiz Thanks very much for sharing your code, it's working now. Regards Solomon Nemiz, Elvi esne...@seafdec.org.ph 2014/02/13 03:59 PM Hello Solomon, I'm sorry if I can't pinpoint what's causing that error but here's what I did in our repository. In your item-view.xsl, locate this line of code: xsl:template name=itemSummaryView-DIM !-- Generate the info about the item from the metadata section -- xsl:apply-templates select=./mets:dmdSec/mets:mdWrap[@OTHERMDTYPE='DIM']/mets:xmlData/dim:dim mode=itemSummaryView-DIM/ After that piece of code, copy paste these javascript code: script type=text/javascript xsl:text disable-output-escaping=yes document.write('lt;script type=text/javascript src=http://api.elsevier.com/javascript/scopussearch.jspgt; lt;/' + 'scriptgt;'); callbackCitedbycount = function(){ if (sciverse.areSearchResultsValid()) { var resultObj = sciverse.getSearchResults(); if (resultObj.returnedResults gt;0) { citedbycount = resultObj.results[0].citedbycount; eid = resultObj.results[0].eid; if (citedbycount gt; 0) { citeHtml = 'lt;span class=boldgt;Cited:lt;/spangt; '; if (eid != null) { citeHtml += 'lt;a href=http://www.scopus.com/scopus/search/submit/citedby.url?src=samp;origin=recordpageamp;eid= ( http://www.scopus.com/scopus/search/submit/citedby.url?src=samp;origin=recordpageamp;eid= )'; citeHtml += eid; citeHtml += ' class=citing-link target=_new title=View citing articles in Scopusgt;'; citeHtml += citedbycount; citeHtml += 'lt;/agt;#160;times in lt;span class=boldgt;Scopuslt;/spangt;'; } articleLink = resultObj.results[0].inwardurl; if (articleLink != null) { citeHtml += '#160;#160;lt;smallgt;(lt;a href='; citeHtml += articleLink; citeHtml += ' class=article-link target=_new title=View record in Scopus gt;'; citeHtml += 'View record in Scopus'; citeHtml += 'lt;/agt;)lt;/smallgt;'; } /xsl:text var citecountsScopus = $(#citecounts-scopus); citecountsScopus.html(citeHtml); citecountsScopus.removeClass('hidden'); citecountsScopus.show('blind'); $(#citecounts-scopus a.citing-link).click(function(){ if (_gaq != null) { _gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'Citecount links','Scopus citing items','xsl:value-of select=./mets:dmdSec/mets:mdWrap[@OTHERMDTYPE='DIM']/mets:xmlData/dim:dim/dim:field[@element='identifier' and @qualifier='uri']/']); } }); $(#citecounts-scopus a.article-link).click(function(){ if (_gaq) { _gaq.push(['_trackEvent','Citecount links','Scopus article','xsl:value-of select=./mets:dmdSec/mets:mdWrap[@OTHERMDTYPE='DIM']/mets:xmlData/dim:dim/dim:field[@element='identifier' and @qualifier='uri']/']); } }); } } } } runSearch = function() { //setting defaults sciverse.setApiKey(REPLACE-THIS-WITH-YOUR-SCOPUS-API-KEY); sciverse.setCallback(callbackCitedbycount); //setting search query xsl:text disable-output-escaping=yesvar strQuery = DOI(/xsl:textxsl:value-of select=./mets:dmdSec/mets:mdWrap[@OTHERMDTYPE='DIM']/mets:xmlData/dim:dim/dim:field[@element='identifier' and @qualifier='doi']/xsl:text disable-output-escaping=yes); var varSearchObj = new searchObj(); varSearchObj.setSearch(strQuery); varSearchObj.setNumResults('1'); //launching search try { sciverse.runSearch(varSearchObj); } catch(err) { } }; runAfterJSImports.add(runSearch); /xsl:text /script And then paste the code in bold where you want the scopus citation count to appear. In our case, I put it under the citation field (I assumed that you already knew how to customize what fields to display in simple item view): !-- Citation row -- xsl:when test=$clause = 9 and (dim:field[@element='identifier' and @qualifier='citation' and descendant::text()]) div id=citecounts-scopus class=simple-item-view-other citecounts hidden#160;/div Hoped this helps, P.S. Please take note that I have created a custom tag, dc.identifier.doi that holds the value for the item's DOI (without the http://dx.doi.org/). Feel free to 'view page source' items in our repository that have DOIs for example: http://repository.seafdec.org.ph/handle/10862/1737 for your reference. Re: [Dspace-tech] ldap authentication after upgrade 1.8 to 3.2
Hi Erik I also had problems during an upgrade from 1.8.2 to 3.2 and have documented fixes here: http://wiki.lib.sun.ac.za/index.php/SUNScholar/Upgrading/DSpace/Release_Notes/3.2 One of them was LDAP authentication.
