Re: [Dspace-tech] Good practice to translate every messages.xml files

2014-09-06 Thread helix84
The consensus is to put translated messages from all the files into one
file.

  Hello,

I'm using DSpace 4.1 and I'm trying to figure out where I should copy
 every messages.xml to translate them.

 I found 4 different messages.xml files.

- dspace-xmlui/src/main/webapp/i18n/messages.xml
- dspace-xmlui/src/main/resources/aspects/Discovery/i18n/messages.xml
- dspace-xmlui/src/main/resources/aspects/SwordClient/i18n/messages.xml
- dspace-xmlui/src/main/resources/aspects/XMLWorkflow/i18n/messages.xml

 Documentation says dspace-xmlui/src/main/webapp/i18n/messages.xml should
 be edited in dspace/modules/xmlui/src/main/webapp/i18n/ directory.

What about the other three? Should I change the name and translate them in
their directory? Or is there a recommended directory where I should copy
 them?

 Thanks for your support.

I have adding the required text and have restarted the tomcat server but

Re: [Dspace-tech] Mirage2 Error

2014-09-06 Thread Bram Luyten
Hi Bill,

just to rule out potential causes:
can you indicate on which version of Mirage 2 your customizations are
based? Just asking because of the differences we had in the early-adopter
releases compared to the pull request that is now part of the core (
https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/pull/587 )

Normally, handlebars.js is a dependency that comes in through the bower
build, so normally, this is not a file that is customized as part of Mirage
2.

of the problem and get rid of it!

 Any ideas?
 Thanks,

Re: [Dspace-tech] Mirage2 Error

2014-09-06 Thread Hilton Gibson
On the M2 note, is it possible to include flexbox as a layout tool?
See: http://compass-style.org/examples/compass/css3/flexbox

I believe most modern browsers support it.
http://caniuse.com/#feat=flexbox
http://css-tricks.com/using-flexbox

It would make layout control according to the DRI, much more responsive and
much simpler to customise.
And according to Da Vinci Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
See: https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Simplicity
