You can assign users to groups (one user can belong to many groups) and then bind authorizations (regarding items, bitestreams, etc) with separate users or groups or both. To do this, you need to log in as administrator, move in admin area by pressing the administer link in the default sidebar, and then, click the option Authorization in the admin sidebar. 2) Regarding the list that appears after an item browsing, dspace configuration offers some options for you but not for the Font Size. Take a look for these options in the dspace.cfg file that mentions the following (under the Web Interface Settings part of the config file): # You can customise the width of each column with the following line - you can have numbers (pixels) # or percentages. Hi As you have mentioned : To make items of Collection2 unreadable for a particular user, you'd have to remove the read rights for the Anonymous user (i.e. everyone) and then enumerate everyone except for your particular user. I don't think you want to do that. Just wanted to know how to remove the read right for anonymous user. What I actually want is that I have a community named ex: 'Books' and I want only a particular user to read and download its submitted Item. So how would I be able to do this. The default order is showing as : Books, Events, Others , Periodicals But I want the community to be displayed as: Books, Events, Periodicals , Others 2. Thanks a lot for your reply, up to somewhat extend it resolve my problem but what exactly I require is that: I m having 10 photographs and want to upload all these during a single submission , and when I view , it will show me the first photograph and an option to move to the previous of next photo. For example : just like we upload photos in facebook and will able to see the next one after clicking on the arrow for next photo……….. [Dspace-tech] Hide certain menu items from Particular Admin user
Hi all 1.Wanted to know is there a possibility for restrict certain menu Items to particular administrator. For example if we have two Administrator user1 and user2. User1 would have al Admin rights User 2 would only be able to see the particular menu Items on the Left hand side i.e. Hide Metadata Registry , work Flow ,authorization , edit default License etc. 2.If we delete all entries(Collection , communities , user ) from the database what would be the Command. As I have deleted all the collection (ex :2) from front end and then when adding a new collection then theCollection id is showing 3 instead of 1 .
