Dear

We, at Hasselt University, created a search like that in the past
(v1.5.2 and 1.6.0)
You can ask Mark Goovaerts (marc.goovae...@uhasselt.be) for more
information.
I am sure he can guide you further.

item
has full text available, What i would really like is to limit any
search to
just full text items (so only items with a bitstream attached will
display).

I cant believe that this hasn't been implemented before - so if you know
how, pass it on.

Are you using the right password?
Can you confirm some data is put (during install) in your database.

Re: [Dspace-tech] Modifications in DSpace

2011-07-15 Thread Verdonck Christof

Dear

It depends...

- If you will only restart the server after the changes, you
change best the dspace.cfg in the /dspace/config directory.
! Be aware of that fact that this file will be overwritten (with the
/dspace-source/config/dspace.cfg) after a next deploy !

- If you plan to deploy and then restart the server, you change
the dspace.cfg in the /dspace-source/config directory.
This file will, as also mentioned above, overwrite the
/dspace/config/dspace.cfg after deploy.

I finally found 'xmlui.user.loginredirect=' in dspace.cfg. However, it
does not seem to be working. After I made the change and re-start tomcat

Why it does not work? Is there any other way that we can make the change

Hi Lewatle,

DSpace documentation says it should work with Tomcat 5.5 and newer, so
the problem shouldn't be with Tomcat version. That said, your tomcat
configuration may be broken so a reinstall might help.

But I would check the obvious things first:
1) check that your dspace1.7.2 directory (including all
subdirectories and files) is owned by the same user as tomcat runs
under
2) check tomcat logs for any errors and warnings

the folder \dspace-1.7.2-src-release\dspace-xmlui\dspace-xmlui-api\src\main\java\org\dspace\app\xmlui\aspect\artifactbrowser
You will find, in the only mehtod the class has, a piece od code which
looks like:

 if ((fromPage == null) || ((fromPage.indexOf(basicHost) == -1)
 (!validReferral)))
 {
 // N.B. must use old message catalog because Cocoon i18n is
only available to transformed pages.
 throw new

So it seems the referer is not correct!

Re: [Dspace-tech] Customising emails

2011-07-04 Thread Verdonck Christof

Dear

I precondition that you use version 1.7.2 (but I believe all others use
the sam principle).
Basically, you add the parameter in the feedback template file
(dspace\config\emails\feedback)

After that you change the file FeedbackServlet
(dspace-jspui\dspace-jspui-api\src\main\java\org\dspace\app\webui\servlet).
in the method doDSGet, you will find a part which looks like:

...
// All data is there, send the email
 try
 {
 Email email =
ConfigurationManager.getEmail(I18nUtil.getEmailFilename(context.getCurrentLocale(),
"feedback"));
 email.addRecipient(ConfigurationManager
 .getProperty("feedback.recipient"));

 email.addArgument(new Date()); // Date
 email.addArgument(formEmail); // Email
 email.addArgument(authEmail); // Logged in as
 email.addArgument(fromPage); // Referring page
 email.addArgument(userAgent); // User agent
 email.addArgument(sessionID); // Session ID
 email.addArgument(feedback); // The feedback itself

 // Replying to feedback will reply to email on form
 email.setReplyTo(formEmail);

 email.send();

 log.info(LogManager.getHeader(context, "sent_feedback",
"from="
 + formEmail));

 JSPManager.showJSP(request, response,
 "/feedback/acknowledge.jsp");
 }
...

There you can add you parameter by following the example:

 email.addArgument(myParam);

Yours Sincerely

Dear

Yes, this is also the solution I suggest you.

Dear Sisay,

Don't know if this is the best way as you requested, but one solution
would be to remove it from the sitemap for your theme.

[dspace-src]/dspace-discovery/dspace-discovery-xmlui-api/src/main/resources/aspects/Discovery/sitemap.xmap

You'll find:
map:match pattern=""
map:transform type="FrontPageSearch"/

Just comment this map:transform and it should work.

Hi
there,
I
am creating a new xmlui theme based on the Mirage theme. I
want
to remove the search box that appears in the body of the main
page
(not the sidebar search box). What's the best way to do this? I
looked
at news-xmlui.xml and dri2html/*.xsl but I can't find where
this
search box is being pulled from.
