maanantaina (27.12) klo 12-19 välisenä aikana. Pikatoimitus onnistuu myös 
kadulle, jos ei löydy pysäköintipaikkaa. Tarjolla uusia werhoja ja muitakin

[DX] SDXL:n kesäkokous

Lämpöiset terveiset kaikille!

Radiomaailma 3 tuli vihdoin postitse ainakin itselleni tänään maanantaina. 
Siinä on vähän yleistä tietoa kesäkokouksesta, joka tällä tietämällä voidaan 
kyllä järjestää suunnitelman mukaisesti.

Suunnittelu on vielä kesken eikä edes ohjelmaluonnosta voida ihan vielä 
julkistaa (ohjelmaehdotuksia saa edelleen lähettää!). Eli ohjelmasta nyt 
ainoastaan sen verran, että sitä on tarjolla perjantaina 19-21, lauantaina 
09.30-18.00, iltajuhla lauantaina 19-21 sekä sunnuntaina 09.30-11.30. Ohjelmaan 
liittyvää sekä muutakin kesisinfoa on tulossa lisää näille kanaville sekä 
SDXL:n nettisivuille lähiaikoina. Mutta ilmoittautuminen ja majoituksen 
varaaminen voidaan käynnistää jo nyt.

Ilmoittautuminen ja kokoushinnat

Toivomme kaikkien kokoukseen saapuvien ilmoittautuvan etukäteen ja 
suositeltavin kanava on sähköposti Risto Vähäkainun osoitteeseen rv at sdxl.fi. 
Mahdollista on myös lähettää tekstiviesti tai WhatsApp -viesti Riston numeroon 
050-5292909 ja jos on erityistä kyseltävää, voi soitellakin.

Kokouksen osanottomaksu on koko ajalta 15 euroa, lauantain päiväkävijöiltä 10 
euroa. Lauantain päiväkävijöille on tarjolla lounas hintaan 16 euroa sekä 
päivällinen iltajuhlan yhteydessä hintaan 32,50. Yöpyville on tarjolla täysi 
kokouspaketti, joka sisältää kokousmaksut, kahden yön yöpymisen, aamiaiset sekä 
em. ruokailut lauantaina (perjantai-iltana ei ruokailua, mutta hotellin 
ravintola on käytettävissä). Täyden kokouspaketin hinta on kahden hengen 
huoneessa 170 euroa ja yhden hengen huoneessa 250 euroa. Muutama kolmen hengen 
huonekin löytyy (tavallinen huone lisävuoteella), jolloin hinta per henki on 
160 euroa. Yhden yön yöpyjille rakennetaan kokouspaketti kunkin tarpeen mukaan.

Tarkempaa kesistietoa tulossa viimeistään Juhannuksen aikoihin, mutta tässä 
kysely, koska etsimme avustajia radioasemaa varten.

Kesäkokoukseen liittyvää (varsinaisia kesisasioita on tulossa lähiaikoina): 
Suomen DX-Liiton jäsen Mika Koivuniemi Riihimäeltä tarjoaa mahdollisuuden 
pyörittää radioasemaa kesäkokouksen yhteydessä. Osa ohjelmista voisi olla 
suoraan kesiksen esitelmiä, osa taas juonnettuja haastatteluja ym ja myös 
musiikkia ja erikoisohjelmia voitaisiin ajaa. Mikalla on käytössä kalusto, 
jossa on 20 watin FM-lähetin sekä mahdollisuus myös striimata nettiin, jolloin 
kuuntelu olisi laajalti mahdollista. Homman toteuttamiseen tarvittaisiin 
kuitenkin muutamia avustajia, joilla on kokemusta joko radio-ohjelmien 
tekemisestä tai teknisestä puolesta tai mielellään molemmista. Näiden lisäksi 
edellytyksenä on tietysti kokoukseen osallistuminen. Kaikki toiminnot voidaan 
normaalisti hoitaa kokouspaikalta. Vain erityisessä ongelmatilanteessa Mika voi 
itse mennä kaluston sijaintipaikalle (ei kovin kaukana). Tehtävästä 
kiinnostuneet voivat ilmoittautua tai kysyä lisätietoja sähköpostitse os rv at

[HCDX] Jyrki K. Talvitie - RIP

With deep sorrow the Finnish DX Association wants to inform the DX world about 
the passing of our Honorary President Jyrki K. Talvitie at the age of 78.

Jyrki was one of the founders of our club in 1958 and a long-time President of 
our club. During the years he also carried numerous other duties in the club. 
Jyrki was Secretary General of the European DX Council in the early 1970's. He 
was appointed the first Honorary President of the FDXA in 2016.

Jyrki's greatest interest target in DXing and travelling was Latin America. 
Spanish was his home language for decades and he was specialized in Mexico and 
Guatemala, but he had also travelled in many other parts of Central and South 
America.

Jyrki's work was to run his own publishing company Tietoteos and a good part of 
the books published by Tietoteos were also written or compiled by him. 
Tietoteos imported the WRTH to Finland for decades and it also published 
several DX books like "Latin America by Radio" (by Henrik Klemetz).

Most of Jyrki's listening activities took place in 1950's and 1960's, but he 
was active in our club all the time. The last events of our club participated 
by him were the EDXC meeting 2017 in Tampere, the 60th anniversary cruise of 
our club in January 2018 and the summer meeting in Kuortane 2018.

Dear friends,

at the end of January 2020 I sent out a list of coming SW and DX meetings of 
this year. At that time the corona virus was already active in China, but no 
one had a real clue of how big an effect it would have in the everyday life in 
the whole world.

Now in mid-March we know of that and everybody is aware that travelling as well 
as having sports events, art events or meetings is quite restricted. Many of 
the meetings mentioned on the list have already been cancelled or postponed. 
Today we don't have an idea how long this exceptional time will last  and when 
we'll be able to return to normal (or even nearly normal) duties and actions.

I enclose a copy of the list. There are a couple of amendments and updates 
(that came up before the Corona virus crisis escalated). But I'm sure everybody 
will check the current details of the planned meetings on the websites to have 
up-to-date information.

[DX] DX-lounas ensi perjantaina

Hei kaikille,

tervetuloa mukaan DX-lounaalle Helsingin keskustaan perjantaina 20.12 klo 
12.30. Paikka ei ole vielä tiedossa (katsotaan ensin arvio tulijoiden 
määrästä), mutta aivan rautatieaseman/Kampin alueelta valitaan. Ja tarkoitus on 
valita paikka, jossa on sopivasti perustarjontaa yleiseen 10,50 hintaan (ei 
mitään erityistä joululounasta).

Tapaamisen tarkoitus on paitsi tavata DX-kollegoita  (kenties pienen yllätyksen 
kera), jakaa kaikille tilanneille WRTH2020-kirja, jolloin sen saaminen jouluksi 
varmistuu. Postinkulusta ei ole ihan varmoja takeita (lakkosumaa kuulemma 
vieläkin puretaan ja joulun aikaan postia liikkuu muutenkin paljon), mutta 
tarkoitus on kuitenkin postittaa kirjat nyt alkuviikosta sen tilanneille. Näin 
ollen haluaisin mitä pikimmin ilmoittautumisia tänne lounaalle ja erityisesti 
niiltä, jotka kirjan ovat tilanneet tai aikovat tilata. Näin säästämme vähän 
postikuluja sekä postitustyötä.

[DX] Keräys Henrik Klemetzin muistolle

[Vähäkainu , Risto S]

Hyvät DX-ystävät,



äskettäin kuollut ruotsalainen huippukuuntelija Henrik Klemetz tunnettiin 
siitä, että hän teki pyyteetöntä työtä muiden hyväksi jakamalla tietoa ja 
uutisia Latinalaisen Amerikan radioasemista ja vielä huomattavasti enemmän 
selvittämällä espanjankielisiä tallenteita. Tässä työssä hän oli kaiketi 
ykkösguru maailmassa. Myös lukuisat suomalaiset DX-kuuntelijat ovat saaneet 
Henrikiltä paljon apua.



Henrikin lähimmät omaiset (leski ja tytär) ovat Henrikin poismenon jälkeen 
heikossa taloudellisessa asemassa. Ruotsalainen Arctic Radio Club on tämän 
johdosta päättänyt järjestää keräyksen ja Suomen DX-Liitto on päättänyt tukea 
keräystä. Tällä tavalla kaikki halukkaat voivat postuumisti kiittää Henrikiä 
saamastaan avusta tallenteiden selvittämisessä tai ylipäätään hänen työstään 
DX-harrasteen hyväksi.

Maksun maksaminen hoituu verkkopankissa. ARC on määritellyt perusmaksuksi 150 
SEK (eli noin 15 euroa), mutta jokainen voi toki itse laittaa haluamansa 
summan. Käsityksemme mukaan maksun pitäisi hoitua ilman kuluja ainakin, kun 
maksaa euroissa ja tilisiirtona (ei ulkomaanmaksuna).

[DX] Heikki Aarrevaara - RIP

Hyvät ystävät,

minulla on ikävä tehtävä ilmoittaa, että pitkäaikainen läheinen ystäväni ja 
teidän useimpien tuntema Heikki Aarrevaara kuoli puolen päivän aikoihin tänään 
torstaina 26.9.2019. Heikille viime viikolla tehty umpisuolen leikkaus näytti 
aluksi menneen ok, mutta tila huononi maanantaina. Keskiviikkoaamuna Heikki 
joutui koomaan ja tilanne todettiin jo tuolloin käytännössä toivottomaksi. 
Elämä laitteiden varassa katkaistiin tänään.

Olin eilen sairaalassa ja keskustelin pitkään Heikin äidin ja myös muutamien 
muiden sukulaisten kanssa. Sovittiin, että olen myöhemmin yhteydessä heihin ja 
avustan asioiden hoitamisessa tilanteen mukaan.

Heikki oli, kuten tunnettua Suomen DX-Liiton toimistonhoitaja ja lehden 
päätoimittaja. Hän oli suunnitellut jäävänsä eläkkeelle ensi kesänä (hän oli 
62-vuotias). SDXL oli jo hiukan miettinyt korvaavia järjestelyjä ja juuri työn 
alla olevan Radiomaailman valmistamiseen oli jo saatu Jari Lehtinen työhön, 
koska Heikki oli sairaslomalla. Toivottavasti Jari selviytyy tilanteesta, 
vaikka paras neuvonantaja ei ole enää käytettävissä.

Muihin Suomen DX-Liiton tulevan toiminnan järjestelyihin palaamme myöhemmin.

Suomen DX-Liiton kesäkokoukseen on runsaan viikon kuluttua Lohjalla. Kokoukseen 
on ilmoittautunut jo porukkaa ihan mukavasti. Lisääkin mahtuu vielä. Myös 
päiväkäyntiä lauantaina suunnittelevilta toivotaan etukäteisilmoittautumista, 
ja jos päiväkävijä haluaa osallistua lounaalle ja/tai päivälliselle, on 
ennakkoilmoittautuminen välttämätön. Myös majoituksen varaaminen on vielä 
mahdollista, hajapaikkoja on jäljellä.


Kesäkokous pidetään 2-4. elokuuta Lohjalla Kisakallion urheiluopistossa.

Tervehdys kaikille,


Suomen DX-Liiton tämänvuotinen kesäkokous on 3-5 elokuuta Kuortaneen 
urheiluopistolla. Asiasta on tiedotettu tarkemmin uudessa Radiomaailma-lehdessä 
sekä Suomen DX-Liiton sivustolla www at sdxl piste fi.


Nyt on aika varata majoitus, sillä huonekiintiömme hupenee nopeasti. Varsinkin 
resortin puoli on jo melkein loppuunmyyty, vielä on jäljellä muutama huone, 
jotka ovat tarjolla 2h ja pe-su majoitukselle. Liikuntahotellin huoneita on 
paremmin vielä jäljellä ja yhden yön majoittujille voimme sieltä räätälöidä 
sopivan paketin. Tarjolla on myös lisävuodemahdollisuus isoihin huoneisiin (46 
neliötä), jolloin kolmen hengen asuessa samassa huoneessa hinnaksi tulee 195 
euroa/koko viikonloppu.

[HCDX] New Zealand DX League 70 years

I'm very sorry for forgetting to mention the jubilee meeting of The New Zealand 
Radio DX League in my list of shortwave meetings. I had that information but 
can't understand why it didn't enter the list.


It is now probably late to join the Convention, but FYI it will be held 6-9 of 
April 2018 in Mangawhai near Auckland. If you want to send greetings to the

[DX] Suomen DX-Liitto 60 vuotta!

Arvoisa vastaanottaja,

tervetuloa mukaan Suomen DX-Liiton 60-vuotisjuhlaseminaariin, joka pidetään 
matkakokouksena Tallinnaan. Suomen DX-Liitto on perustettu tammikuussa 1958. 
Seminaari alkaa lauantaina 13.1.2018 ja siihen kuuluu yksi yöpyminen 
Tallinnassa. Paketti, joka sisältää edestakaisen laivamatkan sekä yöpymisen 
kahden hengen huoneessa Tallink City Hotellissa, maksaa 94 euroa / henki. Yhden 
hengen huoneesta lisämaksu. Ohjelma on seuraava:

[HCDX] EDXC Conference 2017

the big DX event of this year is approaching and we have one month to go. The 
EDXC Conference joined with the annual summer meeting of the Finnish DX 
Association will be held on 18-20 August in Tampere, Finland. The meeting  is 
also jubilee for EDXC 50th anniversary, for the 50th anniversary of the local 
club Tampereen DX-Kuuntelijat and for the centennial of Finland!


The meeting information can be found at the web pages 
www.sdxl.fi .


Right now we are having slightly over 100 participants. It is still possible to 
book for the meeting, we have some hotel rooms and meeting packages available.

[DX] EDXC- ja kesäkokous ovella

tulevaan DX-suurkokoukseen on aikaa enää kuukauden verran. Tämä yhdistetty 
EDXC- ja kesäkokous pidetään Tampereella Varalan urheiluopistossa 18-20 
elokuuta 2017. Kyseessä on myös juhlakokous, sillä EDXC täyttää 50 vuotta kuten 
myös järjestelyissä mukana oleva Tampereen DX-Kuuntelijat (TREDXK). Ja Suomi 
100 -teema on tietysti kuviossa mukana. ja Suomen DX-Liiton 60-vuotispäiväänkin 
on kokouksesta matkaa enää alle 5 kk.


Tule siis mukaan juhlaan sekä seuraamaan mielenkiintoista kokousohjelmaa. 
Pääosa ohjelmasta on englanniksi, muutamia esityksiä (mm. TREDXK-historia) 
pidetään suomeksi.  Kokouksen tiedot löytyvät SDXL:n nettisivujen alta os. 
sdxl.fi. Jos haluat vielä majoituspaikan, niin ota pikaisesti yhteyttä, ja myös 
päiväkäynnit ja niihin liittyvät ateriat tulee vahvistaa etukäteen. 
Yhteydenotot ja tiedustelut voi laittaa sähköpostiin rv at sdxl piste org.


Kuten erikseen on tiedotettu, on SDRPlay-latteiden esittelijä tulossa paikalle 
ja laitteita voi tilata ennakkoon toimitettavaksi kokouksen yhteydessä. Myös

"22nd edition of the "Broadcasting in Russian" Handbook (spring -autumn 2017), 
published by St. Petersburg DX Club, has been recently released. The handbook 
is the most comprehensive guide to broadcasts in Russian in AM bands (LW, MW, 
SW). It features ALL radio stations transmitting Russian language broadcasts at 
present, both from Russia and abroad, that could be received in Russia, CIS and 
European countries (totally 55 stations from 32 countries and territories of 
the world). Station listings include frequency and programme schedules, 
transmitter location and power, target areas, postal addresses, phone/fax 
numbers, Web sites, social network pages, e-mail addresses as well as QSL 
policy info. The schedules are generally valid during A17 broadcasting season).
The Handbook is in Russian and distributed as a hard copy only. Volume is 68 
pages of A5 size. Please address your purchase requests and questions to St.

DXers to get a full data QSL letter from Pravoslavnoye Radio Sankt-Peterburga 
(St. Petersburg Orthodox Radio) broadcasting from St. Petersburg on 828 kHz. 
Reports are to be sent to my e-mail address: dxspb[at]nrec.spb.ru. If a DXer 
would like to get a paper QSL letter, then a return postage will be needed 
(e.g., SASE with Russian stamps for 40 roubles or PayPal transfer of USD 
equivalent). I can also collect QSL letters until I come to Tampere and bring 
them with me."

[DX] Onnittelut Torrelle

Hei,


omasta ja Suomen DX-Liiton puolesta parhaat onnittelut Tor-Henrik "Torre" 
Ekblomille. Hän täyttää tänään 20.5 80 vuotta.


Torre aloitti dx-kuuntelun 1952 ja on ollut aktiivi aivan viime aikoihin asti 
joskin heikentynyt terveydentila on asettanut omat rajoitteensa. Torre oli alun 
perin aktiivi Finlands DX-Clubissa. Ilmailuun ja sittemmin matkailuun 
liittyneet työtehtävät merkitsivät vuosikymmenien asumista ulkomailla, mutta 
aktiivinen kuuntelu säilyi ja toi mukanaan mm. World Radio TV Handbookin 
toimitustehtävän pitkäksi aikaa. Torre on myös 50 vuotta täyttävän European DX 
Councilin perustajajäsen. Perhe ja Ristiinan kesäpaikka ovat olleet tärkeitä 
pitämään jatkuvat ja säännölliset suhteet Suomeen ja eläköitymisen jälkeen 
paluu Suomeen ja pääkaupunkiseudulle oli itsestäänselvyys.

it is high time to register to this year's EDXC Conference which will be held 
in Tampere, Finland on 18-20 August organized by the Finnish DX Association.


We have already received about 30 registrations from abroad and registration of 
the Finnish participants will also activate these days. Altogether we expect to 
have a participation of 120-150. This meeting will most probably be the last 
big DX and shortwave meeting in Europe, so don't miss it!


We are working hard to have a comprehensive conference program. A new version

so if you want to join it, act quickly. After 26 of May we will make a final 
decision on how the tour will be done and what the costs will be.

Suomen DX-Liitto on saanut tiedon pitkäaikaisen aktiivijäsenen Ilpo Leppäsen 
kuolemasta. Ilpo poistui keskuudestastamme tänään 17.2.2017 klo 01.15. 
Osanottomme Ilpon perheelle.


Ilpo sairasti syöpää  varsin pitkään ja jo viime kesänä oli tiedossa, että 
parannuskeinoa ei ole. Ilpo jaksoi kuitenkin olla vielä mukana toiminnassa ja 
oli mukana mm. SDXL:n kesäkokouksessa elokuussa sekä Suomen Radiohistoriallisen 
seuran kokouksessa Kouvolassa lokakuussa.


Ilpon merkitys suomalaiselle dx-kuuntelulle erityisesti radiotekniikan saralla 
on valtaisa. Ilpon dx-elämäntyöstä tarkemmin tulevassa Radiomaailma -lehdessä.
