Now if we could only have the F3 window open when you start up the
program as all the other windows do so.

1. Filepreferencesext data
2. In website callsign lookup
a. check the box to enable
b. in callsign lookup address write http://www.qrz.com/
c. in qsl manager lookup address write http://www.qrz.com/
(becareful don't forget to write the last / it is the usual mistake)
3. File Save changes and exit
Now you can do this...
1. When you are in main window you can push F3 and a new window will
come up with the callsign of the call in the QSO window.
2. Press enter and explorer will open with the qrz.com information for
this call

Subject: [Dx4win] Question on F3 Callsign Lookup
I'm sure I am doing something wrong, but if I knew what it is was, I
wouldn't have to ask!
By reading the help files, I thought I would be able to look up names
and
addresses from QRZ.COM by doing the following:
1. In Preferences, Ext Data, I entered http://www.qrz.com; in the
Callsign
Lookup Address window
2. I checked the box enabled
3. I push F3 and a new window comes up with the callsign of the call
in the
QSO window.
4. I push enter - nothing happens.
Now, if I add additional info as help suggests to the QSL manager lookup
section, when I push enter the QSL manager window of QRZ.COM comes
up, but I
am not interested in the QSL manager info, just the basic info as
listed on
QRZ.COM.
Anyone have any helpful hints (besides buying the QRZ or Callbook
CDROM)?
Thanks,
John
