Is there any indication when this mode will be included in the DX4Win
mode menu?

Hi Ernie,
I was going to ask the same question as I assume its not possible to
just add this mode yourself. I have made a few qso's and logged them as
something odd I never use i.e. SSTV so when this option becomes
available it should be easy to find them and change them back to Olivia.
As for logbook of the world I use the find and replace function in
notepad and change the entry's in the ADIF file before I upload it.

Anyone using the RigExpert Plus with DX4WIN? If so, any issues with
interfacing or station/radio control? Thanks, Tony N2SS

[Dx4win] Question on F3 Callsign Lookup

2005-10-26 Thread Alan Zack
Now if we could only have the F3 window open when you start up the
program as all the other windows do so.

Kostas SV1DPI wrote:

 1. Filepreferencesext data
 2. In website callsign lookup
  a. check the box to enable
   b. in callsign lookup address write http://www.qrz.com/
   c. in qsl manager lookup address write http://www.qrz.com/
(becareful don't forget to write the last / it is the usual mistake)
 3. File Save changes and exit

 Now you can do this...

 1. When you are in main window you can push F3 and a new window will
come up with the callsign of the call in the QSO window.
 2. Press enter and explorer will open with the qrz.com information for
 this call

Subject: [Dx4win] Question on F3 Callsign Lookup

I'm sure I am doing something wrong, but if I knew what it is was, I
 wouldn't have to ask!

By reading the help files, I thought I would be able to look up names
 and
addresses from QRZ.COM by doing the following:

 1. In Preferences, Ext Data, I entered http://www.qrz.com; in the
 Callsign
 Lookup Address window
 2. I checked the box enabled
 3. I push F3 and a new window comes up with the callsign of the call
 in the
 QSO window.
 4. I push enter - nothing happens.

Now, if I add additional info as help suggests to the QSL manager lookup
section, when I push enter the QSL manager window of QRZ.COM comes
 up, but I
am not interested in the QSL manager info, just the basic info as
 listed on
 QRZ.COM.

Anyone have any helpful hints (besides buying the QRZ or Callbook
 CDROM)?

 Thanks,
 John
 K9EL
