[Dx4win] Remove Duplicate QSLs bug

2007-06-03 Thread Tonno Vahk
I reported this 3 years ago in June 2004 and it has been reported by others
meanwhile. A very troublesome bug and really needs a fix finally.

Pressing Remove Duplicate QSLs does not actually Remove Duplicate QSLs if
the QSL Date has been set or Confirmed label has been set to Y for a QSO of
the same band/mode combination. The label can be Y for the same QSO even
where a QSL DATE has been set and it still does not turn it to N.

The help file says:
*
Remove duplicate QSLs

The print flag will be cleared for all duplicate QSOs. A QSO is considered a
duplicate when another QSO can be found that is for the same callsign, band
and mode and when that QSO is confirmed, a label will be printed, or a QSL
label was printed already.
*

So it only works in the 2nd case: when label will be printed but not in
the remaining two cases.

Maybe Mailed Cutoff is not working properly but it also does not take the
Confirmed status into account. The help file is clearly incorrect now and
causes confusion. And this otherwise nice feature turns useless and also
turns the MARK QSOs GOING... button useless as you cannot eliminate
Duplicates after using it.

I have not seen any comment on this yet but I truelly hope this could be
addressed finally. Paul do you have any ideas on that?

[Dx4win] Save and Create Location

2007-06-03 Thread Glenn Millar
There is probably a very obvious answer to this query but can't see it at the
moment

I save my logbooks in a seperate folder located in the My Documents folder on
my PC. I do create logbooks from time to time for different contests I take
part in but each time it defaults to create them in the folder created during
the DX4WIN installation. (i.e. not in My Documents but in the Programs folder)

Is there some way of changing this default location to create new log in the
folder within the My Documents
area that I use for all my other logs.

The reason for this is I backup the My documents area very regularily and
would like for all of my logs to be stored in this area, just in case I need
the backup for real some day. (Hope thats not the kiss of death on my HDD)

Regards Glenn

[Dx4win] 2 cluster questions

2007-06-03 Thread Tonno Vahk
I found answer to both questions myself:

1. Update QSO Window Radio button in Preferences.
2. It was node based - EA1DX sent those prefixes to me:))

All fine with that now.

Subject: [Dx4win] 2 cluster questions

Hi, I remeber sometime ago there was discussion about this. How can I stop
incoming spots updating the mode and band in my QSO window if it is in F9
mode?

Secondly - I get prefix of the spotted staion added to every spot in the
Remarks field - how to det rid of it?
