[Dx4win] DX4WIN.MAS updated 7 December 2008
I just uploaded the latest super check partial (master callsign) database from Randy, K5ZD, in DX4WIN format: http://dx4win.ad1c.us/data.htm#Master This file is based on data from 22 November 2008 and contains 43,068 calls of active contesters and DXers. Here is the text of Randy's announcement to the CQ-Contest reflector: http://lists.contesting.com/_cq-contest/2008-11/msg00419.html 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/Ø, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.ad1c.us ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win
[Dx4win] import
I have imported adi file from writelog to DX4WIN a number of times and the US state shows up in the proper block. I just finished using WIN-TEST at another station (my call was used W1EQ ARRL 160 CW test this past weekend) I imported the WIN-TEST file to DX4WIN. All the countries made it but the states are not in the state location. When I did a summary for states, no new states on 160. For DX, I have 36 new worked countries.. Any suggestions on how to get the states in the proper box? Bob, W1EQ ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win
[Dx4win] DX4WIN Version 7.06
Hi, I have uploaded DX4WIN version 7.06 to the website. In a previous attempt to send this email, it was rejected so now I try again without the change log included in the message. --73, Paul, KK4HD ~~~ DX4WIN logging software Paul van der Eijk, KK4HD BrookHill Data Systems LLC http://www.dx4win.com ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win
Re: [Dx4win] import
Hi Bob, I wrote a utility to aid in the import of ADIF logs into DX4WIN: http://dx4win.ad1c.us/wl2dxq.htm It was originally geared towards WriteLog, but I've been enhancing it to work with other loggers. The problem is that many contest logging programs put the exchange information (i.e. section) into an application-specific ADIF field which the importing program doesn't recognize. Please send me your ADIF file (or at least the first dozen or so QSOs) and I'll work on the import later this week. 73 - Jim AD1C 2008/12/7 Bob Garceau [EMAIL PROTECTED]: I have imported adi file from writelog to DX4WIN a number of times and the US state shows up in the proper block. RE: [Dx4win] DX4WIN Version 7.06
FYI, The installer EXE and the web site refer to version 7.06.02, but the program itself is 7.06.01 in the window header and the about box. Thanks for fixing the set QSL date and the K3! 73, Andreas, N6NU -Original Message- From: Paul van der Eijk [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, December 07, 2008 6:59 PM To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: [Dx4win] DX4WIN Version 7.06 Hi, I have uploaded DX4WIN version 7.06 to the website. [Dx4win] DX4WIN.CTY, DX4WIN.AWD and DX4WIN.TCP
This is a bulk release notice. All files were updated late Saturday, 6 December 2008. I didn't want to publicly announce them before Paul released 7.06, so you didn't download them, only to upgrade right away and get them anyway. First of all, if you have 7.06, you do NOT need these updates. They are already included. DX4WIN.CTY #56 (country file, release notes on web site): http://www.country-files.com/dx4win/ DX4WIN.AWD (award database, release notes on web site): http://dx4win.ad1c.us/awards.htm DX4WIN.TCP (DX cluster nodes): http://dx4win.ad1c.us/cluster.htm This is the list of changes for DX4WIN.TCP; F4ERG-3 Added DxNet node IZ3MEZ-8 Added DX Spider node KI5T-2Added AR-Cluster node PA6NL-1 Deleted DX Spider node PP5MCBAdded WinCluster node W2GSB Changed IP address to 96.224.230.165 WA8DX at address wa8dx.servebeer.com:7300 is back on-line As usual, make sure DX4WIN is closed and follow the installation instructions. Note that the master callsign database is still called DX4WIN.MAS. You will need to manually rename this file to DX4WIN.MAS1 to be compatible with 7.06 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/Ø, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.ad1c.us ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win
[Dx4win] Rigblaster Pro Interface
I do not have everything set up right now, but when I did I ended up using a cable directly from a serial port to my rig, not through the RigBlaster Pro - this worked for me, but needed an extra serial port. The ports going to the RigBlaster Pro were SER A for PTT/CW and SER B for MixW, MMTTY FSK. I had to modify the internal jumpering in the RigBlaster Pro a bit to allow FSK on Serial B. The Serial B port has only three connections: Receive Data, Transmit Data and Ground. This is not enough to communicate with a radio! I do not know why they did not pass the connections through from Serial A. I am using a Rig Blaster Pro with a Yaesu FT-950. All functions of the Rig Blaster work as expected. But in setting up the Rig Blaster pro as described in the manuals, the ability of having DX4WIN follow the band and mode changes of the radio has been lost. Is anyone out there using a Rig Blaster Pro with any radio and STILL have DX4WIN automated response to the radio's mode? By that I mean that when using the Rig Blaster for digital modes, the DX4WIN software tracks band, mode, etc. 73 de NN3V Charlie ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win
