[Dx4win] Printing QSL labels for LoTW confirmation

2009-12-02 Thread Thomas Herrmann
Hallo,
while printing regularely paper QSL labels, more and more labels appear for
older QSOs that are just confirmed via LoTW. Often, these QSOs already are
confirmed by a earlier requested paper QSL. So there is no need to send a paper
QSL once more.
How to switch off printing QSL Labels for older QSOs just confirmed via LoTW ?

Thanks.
Thomas, DL1AMQ

Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN.CTY Release #71 - first call

2009-12-02 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C
I'll be releasing the file sometime after 0400z on Thursday, December
3. There are still a few more hours if you have any changes. Current
release notes are here (there may be a few more callsign exceptions
coming):

http://www.country-files.com/dx4win/release.shtml#71

Please note the change to prefixes formerly used by Bosnia (4N4, 4O4,
YT4, YU4, YZ4). This change is consistent with the ARRL DXCC desk.
If you have received DXCC credit for Bosnia, from a callsign using one
of those prefixes *after* 10 May 1993, please let me know.

[Dx4win] Silent key QSL managers

2009-12-02 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C
I've made a change to the DX4WIN QSL manager database to identify QSL
managers who are silent keys. I know of three so far:

AA6BB
KA6V
KA5TQF

You might wonder why leave them in there at all? Well, if someone
wants to do the research and find out if anyone still has the logs, be
my guest. Leaving the info in the QSL manager database gives them a
starting point.

When you look up the call in DX4WIN, you will see something like this:

KA5TQF(SK)

in the QSL Manager field.

If you know of any others besides these three, please let me know.
