[Dx4win] Questions on Listing/Using Groups and Operators
Two unanswered questions -- maybe Paul or Jim can help. 1. I use the GROUP feature to assign QSOs to a specific contest.when I import a new file into DX4W. I have many thousands of QSOs and over 50 Group names. I'd like to print a list of all of those group names, as I've found that I've missed a couple of contests and would like to assign them to new groups that will be in sequential (date) order. Is there an easy (or relatively easy) way to retrieve that GROUPS list? 2. We've been doing multi-ops here at W3DQ (and last year @ W3A). The logs have the OPERATOR field defined in the ADIF file. How can I import that filed into the and then onto the QSL card? You could edit the ADIF file beforehand, do a search/replace of OPERATOR to COMMENT (or NOTE, check the ADIF spec for an appropriate field). Then that info should get imported into the Notes for this QSO field. - Jim -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

I'll try to write a utility this weekend. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] Questions on Listing/Using Groups and Operators
What version of DX4WIN are you using? I have a program that dumps most of the header info (for versions 8.01) in the .DXL file. It isn't fancy but it will give you (and others if they want it) the information. I can tweek it for 8.x (which I've been planning to do anyway). [Dx4win] DX4WIN.CTY #76 - final notice
I've updated the release notes for DX4WIN.CTY #76: http://www.country-files.com/dx4win/release.shtml#76 I have spent a lot of time this week updating the QSL Manager address database (and old QSL managers). I re-wrote the process flow and cleaned up a lot of the addresses. Manager addresses are still added when the same manager handles QSLs for two more stations. I added almost 400 missing addresses; I'm only missing about a dozen addresses, probably for people who are no longer hams. I expect to release the file the weekend of March 6/7. Please let me know of any other corrections to the database before then. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
