[Dx4win] Question - merging old NA and CT contest logs

2014-01-10 Thread Ray Benny
I have been trying to merge some old NA and CT contest logs from the 1990s
into my DX4WIN logbook, but not having any luck. Before I just tossed out
abt 50 old 3.5 floppy contest disks I copied all the files to a hard
drive. This hard drive contains all the files that existed for each contest.

When I File/ Import, then select (look) for the location of the NA contest
file, DX4WIN does not find whatever it is looking for on this hard drive.
Each of my NA contest subdirectories contains a number of files, two of
which contain QSO data - .adf and .log. DX4WIN does not show these files or
any other files as a source selection. What am I not doing right?

For CT contest files, the .bin file contains the QSO data, however in the
DX4WIN import routine shows nothing to import. Am I missing something, or
does DX4WIN not import old CT contest files?

Tnx 73,

Ray,

AD1C to the rescue, once again :-) Go to
http://software.ad1c.us/CT_to_ADIF/
Once you have the file in ADIF format, you should be able to import it
into DX4WIN.

I did the same thing way backconverted CT and imported into DX4WIN
If I remember, someone had a utility program that did a nice job of
converting data from CT to adif.
Maybe somebody out might remember it.
I would bet that AD1C will have the answer.

2014-01-10 Thread Robert Garceau
Like I said, AD1C had a solution way back when
Good luck. I merged a bunch of files for K1ZE after I did mine and he put
all the ADIF stuff into WinTEST.
I choose to you DX4WIN, one of the best, in my opinion.
