Re: [Dx4win] QSO statistics

2021-02-16 Thread Christian Janssen DL1MGB
Hi Jerry,

I was not talking about QSO numbers by country. That was always interpreted by
others. I was just talking by plain QSO numbers. Or number of QSOs. Or how you
want to call it.

To make it clearer, I have added a screenshot from DXlog, a common contest
logging software.

Re: [Dx4win] QSO statistics

2021-02-16 Thread PY2YP
I've done that using Excel Pivot Table then uploading to my website SQL
database. You can see it at www.py2yp.com looking for DX Statistics.
Frankly, the result is not that useful.

I don't know about other logbook programs if they have this feature. At
least every contest logging software has this built in.

Maybe there is a chance to add this feature in any future version.

Generator/Summary is

the mode that will get you something very close to what you're looking

for.

Those are only award reports. If you have worked Germany 150 times,
it will still only count once in the Summary report.

If you know of a contest logging program that has this feature (reporting
on number of QSOs by country) I would be surprised. More importantly, that
program should be able to accept an import from an .ADI file. Perhaps the
easier resolution is to export your DX4WIN log and import it into this
logging software you mentioned and then you will have your answers.

Personally, I can't see the value of knowing the count of QSOs by country.
DX4WIN has the summary and other information regarding counts of countries
worked in total, by mode and by band. That is extremely important to me.

Good luck
