I unintentionally closed a window and cannot find it to reopen it. When sending a direct reply this window gave the address that was pasted. I'd highlight the address to copy it to manager. Hi Bill, Thanks for your procedure. When I follow the procedure the produced csv file includes all years from 1962 to 2016. Re: [Dx4win] DX4WIN Digest, Vol 214, Issue 12
Jim's ADIF to DX4WIN saves a lot of time and is perfect for getting QSO Party contests counties into DX4WIN. But for non county contests, WSJT-X contacts and any other contacts there's a great time saver to extract counties into the ADIF file for importing into DX4WIN. I use a utility program called ADIF LOOKUP. It's found here: http://www.ko4bb.com/getsimple/index.php?id=adif-lookup-software It very quickly looks up all contacts and adds all the information found in HAM.QTH to the created ADIFLOOKUP Output file. This includes the county and state among everything else. Used to take me days to add counties looking up each on QRZ.COM. Now using ADIFLOOKUP from an N1MM ADIF file to an ADIF import into DX4WIN from a big domestic contest. 73, Bud W3LL > Message: 2 > Date: Sat, 26 Feb 2022 05:22:56 +0300 > From: UA3AGW Dmitry Zaslavsky > To: Jim Reisert AD1C > Cc: DX4WIN Reflector > Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Counties > Message-ID: <1645842176.948111...@f143.i.mail.ru> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 > > > Sure, Jim! > ? > DX4WIN is not able to do it in the case of N1MM generated ADIF as I > mentioned before. > ? > ?For my short?"made in Russia" Contest logs,?I entered CTYs?manually in > DX4WIN after import.?But for locals with a lot of Qs, your utility should > definitely be of great help. Here's how the country.dat issue was resolved. As the Administrator, the country.dat file was removed from the DX4WIN Save folder. As non Administrator a 01 February 2022 country.dat file was copied into the DX4WIN Save folder. This different country.dat file allowed DX4WIN to start normally with no issue. Re: [Dx4win] Lock Windows In Place
Are you saying that if you move that window, and then re-start DX4WIN, that the window will be somewhere different the next time? YES, not in the chosen position. Callsign MGR after pressing F3 and moving to desired position does not stay at the chosen position after a shutdown and restart of DX4WIN. Regarding the Calendar, there is a check box on the QSO tab of Preferences that says, "Check Calendar at startup". Is that box checked? YES I turned on the Master Calls window, and when I restarted DX4WIN, that window was in the same place as the last time. So I don't see any issue there. NOT in the chosen position after a shutdown and restart of DX4WIN. [Dx4win] Gibberish in County Report - W3LL
After the last listing of WY counties is an entry with the State blank and the County is Chinese writing and a W for worked. Reports>County>Listing I can’t delete it. The Reports>County>Summary shows a 1 in the worked column. It's annoying because when I try to find the one worked contact which needs action I can't find it. I did an F8 for DC in the state field and changed all entries found from DC to blank. This did not resolve the problem. There are some contests which give credit for DC. [Dx4win] Reports On Two Computers Don't Match Using Same Log File
DX4WIN Reports on a second backup computer no longer match the DX4WIN copy running on the station computer. I keep the backup copy of DX4WIN on a second computer updated by copying the Logfile to it from the station computer. The backup version Reports show confirmed data but the station computer properly shows them already checked. Another example: The backup copy shows stations worked, but the station computer version properly shows worked moved to labels (L). The backup computer reports are not being updated using the updated log file from the station computer. I confirmed the backup computer has the latest Logfile in the Save directory and DX4WIN is properly pointing to it. How can there be a discontinuity between the two Reports when using the same Logfile? How can I continue to keep the Reports on the second backup DX4WIN copy in sync with the station version? I've been doing this for many years. It's just recently that this discontinuity began. 73, Bud W3LL w...@arrl.net __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Issue with County>reports>Listing The Reports>County>Summary shows a 1 (one) in Worked Mixed. Go to Reports>County>Listing: After the state WY there is a line for the next state. [Dx4win] Application To Import With All QRZ.COM Callsign Information
Is there an application that can take the output file from WSJT-X log and scan QRZ.COM to add all missing information such as State and County etc. Yes, I know those confirming with LOTW have this info but many do not. Tedious doing this manually one at a time adding all missing info such as grid square etc. I do all this with an application called ADIFLOOKUP. It scans Ham.qth Hamradio callbook using fast XMLand adds ALL the info found there for each callsign in the file. A tremendous time saver for importing into DX4WIN. Unfortunately Ham.Qth is offline and may not return. ADIFLOOKUP is no longer supported by the author. http://www.ko4bb.com/getsimple/index.php?id=adif-lookup-release-notes 73, Bud W3LL __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Re: [Dx4win] County And WAS Listing Error
Changing all DC states to MD leaves state "31" after WY with no state listing and nothing in any of the associated boxes. Re: [Dx4win] Not Recognizing LOTW Confirmation
Hi Mike, The first thing I did in DX4WIN was to change each one individually to S. Then in ARRL LOTW I confirmed and paid. Today ARRL LOTW confirmed them. I went into DX4WIN Reports and changed Submitted to Confirmed for Mixed, Band and Mode. Then I made Bothe the LOTW and DX4WIN files and saved them. Then I started AD1C LOTW DX4WIN program. Pointed DX4WIN and LOTW each to their file locations. Then ran ADIC. Surprised to see the AD1C report with the 8 mismatches. Looked in DX4WIN DXCC reports and surprised to see M for each. Next went into each of the 8 contacts and at the bottom changed LOTW to Y. Updated the DX4WIN file that AD1C looks at and ran it. Still 8 mismatches. The 8 contacts in DX4WIN still do show a C in the DXCC Reports window. Each individual 8 contacts still do show a Y in the confirm box. No Joy. 73, Bud W3LL On Fri, Apr 26, 2019 at 11:46 AM Mike Cizek W0VTT wrote: > Hello Bud, > > Since there are only 8 of them, it's probably easiest to do them manually > by > changing the flags at the bottom of the QSO window. In Reports DXCC Listing those 8 LOTW confirmations show as "C" and not "*". Putting a "Y" in the LOTW box for each of the individual contacts does change the "C" to "*". AD1C Compare shows these 8 contacts as mismatches. The AD1C report has LOTW: [*] DX4WIN: [C]. I don't know how to change (C) to (*) in the DX4WIN report. [Dx4win] WAS Not Showing All States Worked
The fault was mine regarding WAS Not Showing All States Worked The last entry in the imported ADIF file showed the state but not in the other qso’s. I didn’t look at all entries and assumed they all had the state included. DX4WIN was correct in showing the one state as worked ( W ) but not any others. [Dx4win] WAS Not Showing All States Worked
I noticed my 30M WAS count was low. Reports>WAS>Summary. Band, Mode, Mixed, All modes, All Bands selected. Summary shows 1 Worked and 3 Confirmed on 30M. Reports>WAS>Listing shows the same as the Summary. So I worked many states on 30M over the past few days on FT8 using WSJT-X with JTAlert. I take the JTAlert log.adi and run it thru ADIFLOOKUP. This utility uses QRZ.COM to wash thru all the logged contacts thru QRZ.COM database, adding the missing info such as name, address, State, County, Country etc etc. I then take the ADI output from ADIFLOOKUP and import it into DX4WIN. Been doing this for at least the past 10 years. The utility is worth its weight in gold, especially for 1,000+ weekend contests. I then looked at the last 10 entries from the log in the QSO window. The info was all there including State and County etc. I then selected the last contact in the log. W3IH. The QSO window shows: State NM County Sierra I did this check for about the last 20 contacts in the log worked on 30M. When I look in Reports>WAS>Summary. Band, Mode, Mixed, All modes, All Bands selected The Summary STILL shows 1 Worked and 3 Confirmed on 30M. Reports>WAS>Listing shows STILL the same as the Summary. I looked at the .ADI file that was imported and all the info was there. That’s why the QSO window has all the info in it for State, County etc. BUT Why is Reports>WAS>Summary. Band, Mode, Mixed, All modes, All Bands selected and Reports>WAS>Listing NOT being updated? 73, Bud W3LL __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

[Dx4win] Award Submission
How do I create an award submission which includes one CSV file for all mediums, not just QSL Card or eQSL? For WPX award submission both QSL Card and eQSL are selected in the Award Setup for WPX since both are acceptable for confirmations. But I’m forced to choose one or the other in the Submission Medium box. Not both (or all) is available as a choice. I need to send CSV files for Mixed, Phone, CW and Digital files that include all acceptable mediums in each Mixed, Phone, CW and Digital file. Otherwise I’d be sending twice the files. Four eQSL files and four QSL Card files. The award manager would then need to combine the respective QSL Card and EQSL CSV files. 73, Bud W3LL w...@arrl.net __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

For example, I just read in the WSJT-X ADIF file which has 866 QSOs in it and it said: Import Finished 866 QSOs were read [A bunch of other stuff] 866 Duplicate QSOs were processed In that case, it didn't import anything because they were already there. What am I doing wrong? 73, Bud W3LL w...@arrl.net __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

When you select a file for import, a window opens up entitled "Options for duplicate QSOs". It has a drop down menu and the default option is "Issue warning and stop".The next two options are "Imported QSO replaces existing QSO" and "Imported QSO is ignored". Simply select whichever one of these you like and the import will proceed.
