[Dx4win] Problem saving new QSOs

Hello All,

Today a problem occurred not seen before. I do work a new station and log it as 
always. But doing a log save it gives a fault. It seems it can not write a new 
log file in the save directory. Access denied.
What goes wrong here?

DX4Win comes up with the message An error occurred in the application.
Restarting does not solve it, and restarting the computer does not solve it.

Any suggestions?

[Dx4win] Country dataabse broken after uodate

Hi All,

I did an update this morning on DX4WIN. After the update the program will not 
start again. I comes with the message that it can't read the country data base. 
How do I fix this? Is there a Country file that I can put int in the SAVE 
directory?

[Dx4win] DX4win after the crash

Hi all,

Windows 10 decided to do an update yesterday. After that DX4win wasn't working 
any more. Lots of errors missing file and so on.
So I did a new install of DX4WIN and all works again, I do have my log ok. The 
inly thing that goes wrong is that 3D2 Fiji is suddenly at 187 degrees and only 
7791 km away.

3D2/R Rotuma is still at 14 degrees and over 15000km away, what is right.

What is wrong with the mapping of Fiji?

Hi Dave,

Yes it is checked for follow Radio,

The red arrow moves, but disappears from the map, as the map is not moving 
anywhere. I have to use the slider to see the red arrow again. Been that wat 
since version 8. 
I did ask questions then, but never got an answer, or any help.
 I have been a DX4WIN user from the start, but this is the only thing that 
never worked for me.

Dick,

Do you have Follow Radio checked at the bottom of the DX4WIN bandmap?  You may 
have to open the bandmap window all the way from top to bottom so that you can 
see the bottom section.  When you do that, it should follow your K3.  The red 
arrow moves up and down as you tune and it automatically updates with new spot 
info when your radio changes to a different band.

[Dx4win] updating IOTA to a call

HI All,

In  version 8 of DX4WIN you logged a call once with the correct IOTA and the 
second QSO was good to go. Not so in version 9. In version 9 you need to edit 
very QSO you make.
WHY?

Example.
C4II is on AS120. DX4win tjinks AS004, which is good. But after the first QSO 
it should know the second QSO. Nots so it still thinks AS004.
Could we go back to the old style as in version 8!

[Dx4win] Bandmap following radio

Hi All,

I still have the same problem with the bandmap as in V8.05. I do zoom in on the 
bandmap on every band. On the higher bands, 6, 10, 12 and 15m the bandmap does 
not follow the radio. It stay where it is. I do have the box follow radio 
checked. I had the same problem with the previous version, and was hoping the 
problem was solved with the new version.
I do use Window 10, radio is a K3, with microkeyerII. The bandmap reads the 
frequency correct, but just does not follow the radio.

Any updates on this issue in the future?

[Dx4win] Importing DXCC checked status in new logfile

Hi all,

Just installed the new version of DX4WIN, and imported the log file. When I do 
Reports|DXCC|summary It does not show any Checked countries. I do have over 
3000 bandpoints checked at DXCC, how do I import them from the old log file?

I ran the compare program for the first time ever. It worked great.
I have one miss match.
ARRL has ZS0 awarded for me on 10m. I never worked ZS0 on 10m.
The rest is ok.

[Dx4win] lost members lsi indicators AGAIN

loaded it, extracted in to DXw805 driectory. And it's their. Restarted DX4WIN. 
But not L's or E's what so ever in the dxspot window. It has been working with 
my old list, but I decided to put a new one inplace.

[Dx4win] Bandmap not follwing radio on 10 and 6m

Hi All

I have the following problem, for a long time now, but can not find a solution.
The band map does not follow the radio on 10 and 6m, all the other bands are 
ok. I do use DX4WIN 8.05 with a K3 and a micro Keyer II.
I do zoom in on a portion of 6m or 10m, and the red arrow is on the frequencie 
where I am at. If I dail the radio outside the portion the bandamap does not 
follow the radio. The box follow radio is marked!
The frequencie on the top of the band map gives the radio's frequencie correct. 
Anyone else having this probelm?

[Dx4win] Microham micro keyer 2 probelm

Hi All

I do have a problem  with my microkeyer 2
I managed to lose the internal soundcard somehow
when in AudioMixer the sound card is gone, not even listed any more. So no RTTY 
or anything else working.
How do I get the microHAM CODEC back?
I even reinstalled the software, that did not help.
Restarted the computer switched the keyer of nothing helped.
Anyone any ideas?

[Dx4win] DXCC summary report

Hello All

I do have version 8 working, and I'm very pleased.
But I do have one problem. First thing I did,  see if my DXCC totals are 
correct.
In Mixed it looks ok. But  doing a check on 
Reports|DXCC|Summary and then mode PHO or CW, it gives the result for Mixed, 
not the mode I selected.

Is this a bug? or do I miss something?

[Dx4win] Cant open my log file

Hello 

Just had to do a hard reset on my computer while DX4WIN was NOT running.
When I started up again, the INI file was gone, that was easy to get back from 
my backup. But now it will not my latest log file on my computer. I do have a 
backup, nut thats a little older, and has not all the QSOs. When I open it up 
DX4WIN says this is not a DX4WIN log file
I guess it is corrupted. Anyone able to get it back?

all suggestions welcome

This is a bug in version 6.03. try to use radio control, otherwise go back
to version 6.02.

 Hi,

 I was trying to change to 6.03 from 6.02
 All seems to be working fine except QSO ENTRY.
 My situation
 1. NO radio connected
 2. Packet spot window active
 3. Deffault band for qso set to 20 SSB
 4. I am in ADD Real time qso

 Problem.
 When I receive DX spot band and mode in qso entry windows changing in
 accordance of received spot.

 Example

 1. I pressed F9 and got Add Real time 20 SSB
 2. First spot arrived as 3,542 NJ1F
 3. Instantly this change my entry band and mode to 80 CW

 I went through all settings but did not find anything I didn't know.
Please
 let me know how can I overcome this.
