[Dx4win] DX4WIN 7.03 and digital modes
Hello, I am working through setup of a DX4WIN 7.03 upgrade. In PSK31 window, messages 1 through 6 will xmit (output to radio), and messages 7 and 8 will not. Also Control key message 1 works OK , and messages 2 through 8 do not. All of the messages show in the transmit buffer screen, just nothing comes out of the radio for those particular keys. The same occurs in the MMTTY window. The same keys work, and same keys do not work. Any help is appreciated. Mark WA0MHJ
[Dx4win] DX4WIN crashes
Help, I have been running DX4WIN V5.03 for long time on a Pentium with 128Mb RAM. I just loaded N1MM software and MMTTY software. Many other programs including these two new ones have been running, and continue to run fine. However now when I launch DX4WIN, I get a system memory error, as soon as I try to do anything. What is the minimum memory requirements of DX4WIN? Something else I am missing? I did a DX4WIN re-install. I removed, cleaned, reshuffled, and reseated the memory SIMMS. Any ideas, direct them to me. Apparently I have solved the problem I originally posted. I stepped back through every change made. One step was to remove a non-functioning network card, and produce the packet spots through a shared COM port, instead of via the network. I re-installed the network card (though still not hooked up to anything), and now everything seems happy. Computers are a great mystery. Mark WA0MHJ
[Dx4win] Logging mobile rover stations
Logging mobile rovers: (maybe better stated as importing an ADIF) If I work W1AW/m mobile in Polk and then again later in Lake counties, I have logged them as: W1AW/POL W1AW/LAK When I bring them into DX4WIN I have worked prefix's PU0 and LA0, and have worked two countries, not the state they were in. I can manually fix each one, but it seems to remain that I have worked two new prefixes. This doesn't happen to every entry. Some come in as the state and county automatically, and don't have to be edited, and some don't. I can't log them as W1AW/m because every QSO gets the same information? Anyone have tricks or tips to get this info imported correctly, including prefixes? Thanks Mark WA0MHJ
[Dx4win] DXTELNET via com port
Hello, I am currently running DXTELNET and DX4WIN on the same PC with LAUNCHER.EXE. How can I export DXTELNET to a second PC via a COM port? I am now exporting DXTELNET via COM port while running CT. It should be just parameter changes within DX4WIN for packet connection. Just changing the packet connection from: TNC: Regular Com Port: msg Message Handshake: ThunderRT5Form|DXTelnetDX4WIN to: Com Port: COM2 will work as long as the two computers are connecting via a COM cable?
[Dx4win] Add real time QSO
Help! I fired up DX4WIN after about a month idle. When adding a QSO real time, the band and mode are grayed out, but it stays on 20M SSB (the default) no matter where I go. The radio FT-920 parameters have not changed. I can set the radio frequency from DX4WIN, but it doesn't appear to be reading it from the radio anymore. WA0MHJ
