The next DX4WIN country file will have those two entities re-instated.
Exactly when it gets released depends on my busy schedule. I'll do
the best I can.

Midway and Kure Islands Reinstated as DXCC Entities

05/11/2017

On March 31, 2017, the DXCC desk announced the deletion of Midway
Island and Kure Island from the DXCC entities list. The stated reason
for this action was because of changes in the administration resulting
from changes in Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument, formerly
known as the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands Marine National Monument,
of which the Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge and the Battle of
Midway National Memorial, the Hawaii State Seabird Sanctuary at Kure
Atoll, and the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands State Marine Refuge, of
which they are all included.

After further review it has been found that the deletion of these two
entities is not supported by the changes that were made to the
relevant administrations. Therefore, the deletions from the DXCC list
should not have occurred and the two entities, Midway Island KH4 and
Kure Island KH7K, will return to the DXCC list as separate entities.

Anything logged as /MM will automatically be invalid for DXCC or WAZ.

Brian

I go into the DXCC field (press F5 until you see the DXCC
status at the

bottom of the log page) and mark it invalid (I).

Subject: [Dx4win] Maritime Mobile Logging

I have a question in regard to logging a Maritime Mobile station.

I am running 8.05 with Jim's (AD1C) latest update of Jan 28th.

I have never worked or logged a /MM station in the past as a
maritime mobile
station is not good for any DXCC entity so it has not
interested me in doing
so. However, I was interested in working TI9/3Z9DX/MM last
night as he is
heading to TI9 and that will be a new one for me.

Trying to log him into DX4WIN, it wants to put him in Cocos
Is. and I fully
understand that. But being he is not there yet and enroute on
the ship it

does not count for Cocos. I was looking to see if I could Force the
contact to another prefix entity but that would not solve the problem
either. Then I thought maybe there is a prefix listing of /MM
(Maritime
Mobile) that would basically not count the contact for
anything. But as you
guessed, not found. Is this an idea Jim could implement in
his next database
update or is that more of a Paul update for the program
itself? I don't

think you can leave the prefix field blank, can you?

So anyway, how do you log a /MM station so it does not count
for an entity?

Other than not logging it...

Thanks,
Brian - NX0X

Hi Pat: Its linked to your log.

Go to File - Preferences - and click on the Packet 2 tab. Then refer to
the chart on the bottom RHS. From the top down, #1 is New Country etc.
