I agree with Cesar, Jim Reisert solution was great and could be permanent, I am
really happy with my new FT8 Log file.

Yes Jim, you're right. Should be a great improvement if the "Additional
QSO Filters" were a selection variable list instead of a checkbox selection.

That only works if you assign the same group # to each and every
single FT4 or FT8 QSO you make. There is no way in DX4WIN to create a
filter selection by MODE, only by DATE or Group #.

Another trick is to keep counting only ft8 modes (file>awards>dxcc>modes
group - keep only ft8 from digi modes - uncheck rtty, psk, etc). This
way you have only ft8 counts for digital dxcc and you can see your totals

That only works if you assign the same group # to each and every
single FT4 or FT8 QSO you make. There is no way in DX4WIN to create a
filter selection by MODE, only by DATE or Group #.

Hola Raymundo,

There is no easy way to get DXCC status for only FT8 QSOs. You can
use F8 to search for QSOs made using FT8, but a DXCC status report
will still include all QSOs in your log. You will have to export your
FT8 QSOs into a separate log to see what you want.

Using F8, search your log for Mode=FT8. Then use File | Import/Export
to export the search results to an ADIF file.

Use File | New in DX4WIN to create a new, empty log file. Give it a
temporary name, definitely NOT the same name as your main logbook.
Then import those FT8 QSOs from the previous step into this new log.

From there, you can do a DXCC report to see how many DXCC entities you

have worked on FT8.

The same goes for FT4, but for the F8 search, you need to search for
Mode=MFSK and Submode=FT4.

If you want to see combined DXCC statistics for both FT4 and FT8,
export the QSOs made with those two modes separately, then import both
FT4 and FT8 ADIF files into the same empty DX4WIN log.

Happy 2020 Just do an F8 sort with the mode designating FT8. That show show
only those contacts you made in that modeThe same would hold true with RTTY
as well I've also set up a filter group for designating not only FT8 but for
CW, RTTY and the various contests

[Dx4win] FT8 - DXCC

2020-01-01 Thread Raymundo Rodriguez
Hello, happy year 2020, how could I do to get control of how many countries I
have worked in FT8, without mixing it with other Digi. I would like to keep a
specific control of countries or entities in FT8 with a list of all countries
in order to see which ones I am missing. The same would happen with RTTY.
Someone carries this type of report and how he does it, thanks for your
cooperation de Ray-YS1RR
