[Dx4win] FTdx-3000

2014-11-13 Thread Ed Clark Sr
Been having problems trying to get my CAT cable, usb, to work with the
3000. It is not on the list of radios in DX4WIN. Any suggestions?

Wonder if any members on the list have the FTDX-3000? I'm
having trouble having DX4Win work with this radiothanks.

Ron, the 5000 settings work, but if I have a spot in the DX Spots window
that is SPLIT, the radio goes to the right frequencies and then times out.
As long I don't put the Rig in Split mode it works good. You or anyone else
any ideas. I am not much on changing Rig Files. Thanks, John W9RPM

Has anyone come up with a solution for this? Bob K3UL would like to know.

Jim, not that I know of. I told Paul, that I would be willing to test
out anything he comes up with. Its a timing issue I believe. Only on
Split. The mode won't be correct unless it is CW.

Ron,

Try treating it as an FT-950 or FT-5000. The CAT commands are the
same except for some minor changes in the SH (filter width) command.

Change CAT TOT in the rig's menu to 100 or 1000 - that helps with
all of the new Yaesu rigs and make sure your serial port supports
RTS/CTS handshake or disable CAT RTS in the menu.
