Paul, Any hope to have some UDP broadcasting support implemented in DX4WIN? Re: [Dx4win] Feature Request
Here are a few enhancements I'd like to request: Add OQRS to the QSL Method dropdown list. Change the background color of the Radio button so that started/stopped status can be determined at a glance. Eg, green background means started. Sometimes its not so obvious why a certain priority is given to a DX spot. Add an option to the right-click menu in the DX Spots window that will provide a reason (or reason code) for the priority chosen for the selected spot. (I've had spots show up as priority 8 when in reality it should have been priority 2, new mode. I couldn't determine why the wrong priority was set.) Thanks for considering. 73, Kris N5KM On Thu, Jan 9, 2014 at 7:40 AM, dx4win-requ...@mailman.qth.net wrote: Date: Wed, 8 Jan 2014 12:17:41 -0500 From: Paul van der Eijk pvandere...@gmail.com To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Feature Request Message-ID: cak7babc76fd84k8i_c0sqfixcpb2pudqdnjmnqiy36ubfat...@mail.gmail.com Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Bob, So Noted, --Paul, KK4HD On Tue, Jan 7, 2014 at 10:08 PM, R.T.Liddy k...@ameritech.net wrote: I can't resist jumping on the bandwagon. Actually, it would be extremely handy to have dual/dual receive - MMTTY and 2-Tone on each the left and right channels of the sound card to permit listening in the pile-up on split DX. It's not difficult to do a separate instance of MMTTY for the sub RX/TX VFO but it should be equally easy to add the ability to clone the basic RTTY receive Window. 73, ... I use them both together, on the same audio feed, on another logging software at our club station. Work fine together on one audio line, each decoding separately in separate windows, and one being the transmitter. [Dx4win] Feature Request
I can't resist jumping on the bandwagon. In my Contest Logging Program (CTWin), logged stations get posted on their appropriate frequency on the Bandmap so you can see who is where and if worked. It's very helpful for Search Pounce. I'd like DX4WIN to do the same thing. Right now, the only way they end up on the Bandmap is to have them spotted on the Packet Cluster unless I'm not aware of some option. I work a lot of stations that aren't spotted and I don't spot them myself if they're common. [Dx4win] Feature request
Paul, First of all I like to express my appreciation as a DX4WIN user for a great logging program that fits my specific needs. I do maintain my home log and that of all my DX operation using group numbers/names. Printing QSL requests I do in one run for all my DX calls and print the group name on the label. Next I take the printed label from the sheet, take a card according to the group name on the label and stick them together. This works great. However, for SWL cards it does not work as the group name (or #) is not printed on the label. Therefor I have to pick the DX QSL based on the date and look it up from a list to know what operation it was. My request: can de group name also be printed for SWL QSL's? [Dx4win] Feature request on behalf of weak signal mode users
For the rstS and rstR fields in DX4WIN to allow free flow text to indicate a signal report in dB. A mandatory NN or NNN is too restrictive. example: -26 (minus NUMBER NUMBER) My main reason for requesting this is I print LOTS of QSL labels and really would like to have the option of printing a signal report as either a traditional RST or a dB value. Myself and several other DX4WIN users have requested this previously so lets hope it can be added sometime. 73 Dez, G3WW __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

Re: [Dx4win] Feature Request
I want to be able to record when I send a card, how I send it and ideally, where I send it to. Then I want to be able to record when I receive a response and how it was sent. If I send three requests--one direct with an IRC and $2, one OQRS with $5 via PayPal and one via the Bureau--and finally receive a response via LOTW, I want to know when I sent each card, how and with what, and when/how I received the response. As QSL methods become more diverse and direct mail more expensive, these kinds of records could be invaluable and would seem ideal for computerization. Recent upgrades have emphasized awards and LOTW. I would like to see equal emphasis given to the QSL process. Re: [Dx4win] Feature Request
I keep these infos also. As Jim said you should use notes for this QSO field. This field is really useful for any info specific to this qso only and not to this call. If you have organized your records you could easily track them. For example for evry oqrs request you should write OQRS 5$. So if you want to search all unanswered oqrs requests you can search them with f8 and writing oqrs into notes for this qso filed and cnfm flag N.
