Re: [Dx4win] Feature request -- UDP support

Paul,
Any hope to have some UDP broadcasting support implemented in DX4WIN?
I'm interested in broadcasting spots according to the N1MM+ protocol:

Thanks

I agree this is a great idea, and also to have an auto-upload for

[Dx4win] Feature request -- UDP support

2019-09-18 Thread n4qs
I would like to request that Paul add UDP broadcast and import support
within DX4WIN so that we can interface WSJT-X to DX4WIN like it now can be
done with N1MM+. I operated the ARRL VHF contest this weekend and had N1MM
and WSJT-X working together. Every time I made a FT8 contact in WSJT-X, the
contact was automatically added in N1MM. This allowed me to keep track of
dupes and scoring in real time. Everything worked very seamlessly. Both

critical for weak signal DXing on 160 meters and 6 meters especially.
Although I have added to my DXCC band totals using FT8 on several of the
other bands as well. It is not very handy to have to manually import the
adi logfile from WSJT-X into DX4WIN. There are times in the heat of the
moment that you need the contacts added to DX4WIN but you do not have time
to stop and do the import. This happened to me this summer in the middle of
a major opening into EU on 6 meters when I had a screen full of G stations
calling me. Adding the WSJT-X contacts automatically and in real time helps
be to verify call signs, ensure the QSOs are valid and quickly report spots
on the cluster. It also helps me to see when I have worked a new country
and to look up more info about a station via the QRZ.COM XML interface.

Re: [Dx4win] Feature Request

2014-01-26 Thread Kris Mraz
Here are a few enhancements I'd like to request:
Add OQRS to the QSL Method dropdown list.

Change the background color of the Radio button so that started/stopped
status can be determined at a glance. Eg, green background means started.

Sometimes its not so obvious why a certain priority is given to a DX spot.
Add an option to the right-click menu in the DX Spots window that will
provide a reason (or reason code) for the priority chosen for the selected spot.
(I've had spots show up as priority 8 when in reality it should have been
priority 2, new mode. I couldn't determine why the wrong priority was set.)

Thanks for considering.

I'd like DX4WIN to do the same thing. Right now, the only way they
end up on the Bandmap is to have them spotted on the Packet Cluster
unless I'm not aware of some option. I work a lot of stations that aren't
spotted and I don't spot them myself if they're common.

[Dx4win] Feature request

2014-01-07 Thread Jerry.Van

Not sure this one has been requested recently.

It would be nice to have 2Tone along with MMTTY fully integrated into WIN.
Only one, of course, being allowed to be active at a time.

Actually, it would be extremely handy to have dual/dual receive -
MMTTY and 2-Tone on each the left and right channels of the sound
card to permit listening in the pile-up on split DX. It's not
difficult to do a separate instance of MMTTY for the sub RX/TX VFO
but it should be equally easy to add the ability to clone the
basic RTTY receive Window.

[Dx4win] Feature request

2014-01-06 Thread Gerben A.Menting - PG5M
Paul,

First of all I like to express my appreciation as a DX4WIN user for a great
logging program that fits my specific needs. I do maintain my home log and
that of all my DX operation using group numbers/names. Printing QSL requests
I do in one run for all my DX calls and print the group name on the label.
Next I take the printed label from the sheet, take a card according to the
group name on the label and stick them together. This works great.

However, for SWL cards it does not work as the group name (or #) is not
printed on the label. Therefor I have to pick the DX QSL based on the date
and look it up from a list to know what operation it was.

My request: can de group name also be printed for SWL QSL's?

Regards,

Gerben - PG5M

[Dx4win] Feature request on behalf of weak signal mode users

2012-08-26 Thread Dez Watson
For the rstS and rstR fields in DX4WIN to allow free flow text to indicate a
signal report in dB.
A mandatory NN or NNN is too restrictive.

example:

-26

(minus NUMBER NUMBER)

My main reason for requesting this is I print LOTS of QSL labels and really
would like to have the option of
printing a signal report as either a traditional RST or a dB value.

Myself and several other DX4WIN users have requested this previously so lets
hope it can be added sometime.

Re: [Dx4win] Feature Request

2012-04-03 Thread Dick Flanagan
I want to be able to record when I send a card, how I send it and
ideally, where I send it to. Then I want to be able to record when I
receive a response and how it was sent.

If I send three requests--one direct with an IRC and $2, one OQRS with
$5 via PayPal and one via the Bureau--and finally receive a response via
LOTW, I want to know when I sent each card, how and with what, and
when/how I received the response.

As QSL methods become more diverse and direct mail more expensive, these
kinds of records could be invaluable and would seem ideal for
computerization. Recent upgrades have emphasized awards and LOTW. I
would like to see equal emphasis given to the QSL process.

I keep these infos also. As Jim said you should use notes for this QSO
field. This field is really useful for any info specific to this qso only
and not to this call. If you have organized your records you could easily
track them. For example for evry oqrs request you should write OQRS 5$. So
if you want to search all unanswered oqrs requests you can search them with
f8 and writing oqrs into notes for this qso filed and cnfm flag N. What's
better from this?

Also a DATE RECEIVED box on the QSL section. It could be on the same line
as: LABEL QSLDATE CNFM METHOD. There seems to enough room left to fit it in.

[Dx4win] Feature request

2012-02-07 Thread Dez Watson
For the rstS and rstR fields to allow free-text, not just a mandatory NN or NN.

example:

-26

(minus NUMBER NUMBER)

I know several other JT65 ops have mentioned this previously.

[Dx4win] Feature Request

2012-02-05 Thread Bud Semon N7CW
I use Winkeyer USB to key my radio through DX4Win. I also use 2 radios in
DX4Win. Is it possible to add a switch in the Winkeyer control so that
when I change radios, the Winkeyer switches the keying line also? This is
done in N1MM Logger.

Thanks and 73, Bud N7CW

Re: [Dx4win] Feature request - Add QSO Date Filter Less Equal optionto preferences

2008-12-16 Thread Isidro Acosta Hernández

Hi Andreas, and the fellows...

One example is that I want to clear QSL Date fields that are older than
one year by filtering QSO with Less or Equal 12-15-2007 in the QSL
Date

The Range option does not appear to work on QSL date or the QSO. There
is no prompt. I could have used that one instead.

Go to File (main menu) Preferences QSO QSO date Range

Isidro,

I tried the Range option but it does not work on the QSL Date field. It
only works for QSO date.

Thanks!
