The shortest shortest part of the call determines the country. When
the two parts are equal length, the first part determines the country.
That should explain what you saw.

You might want to look into this utility:

[Dx4win] mobile/county and correct country

2011-09-28 Thread Mike Tessmer
I just imported my Ohio QSO Party log. I anticipated doing a few country
corrections with the Mobile/county calls, and yes, there were some. But not
all of them.

All my QSOs with K8MR/ showed up as K, as they should.
Any other mobile CALL/ showed up as whatever country would normally be
assigned the prefix DX4WIN was detecting after the /.

For example:
K8MR/SUMM would still show up as K.
W9MSE/SUMM would show up as SU.
(these are just examplesdon't remember who op'd from where...)

I'm not implying this was a problem - it wasn't. There weren't that many to
fix and they were easy to find. I'm just curious why the K8MR QSOs required no
fix. (something already in the country file?)

Thanks!
