Re: [Dx4win] Prefix
Enter TO0A in the callsign window Put your cursor in the Prefix window. Press F1 Scroll to Saint Martin Double Click on Saint Martin The QSO window should now show TO0A as FS. Press Enter to LOG the QSO. Make sure the TO0A QSO is still in the QSO window. (if not hit escape) Go to QSO - delete QSO. Delete the QSO you just entered. The next time you enter TO0A, it will come up as FS. AD1C database will go into effect in another day and the problem will go away. 73, John K9EL -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net On Behalf Of Luc Sent: Thursday, March 5, 2020 1:20 PM To: REFLECTOR dx4win Subject: [Dx4win] Prefix Hi. Re: [Dx4win] Prefix search
Roger, Searching in the callsign field does not work for all QSOs. You will not find the QSO for a call like W1YY/7 the prefix is W7 for that one. There is an easier way to do this: QSO Window | Reports Select WPX, Listing, All modes, All bands and click OK In the listing shown you can double-click on a band or mode and all matching QSOs will be selected. They can be shown as a list in the LogBook window. --Paul, KK4HD On Sat, Sep 15, 2018 at 10:52 AM Roger D Johnson wrote: > Idiot boy finally figured it out. DX4WIN 8.05 and earlier did not have end dates, so typing in a DXpedition call long after it was over would still come up as the "right" country. There are many advantages to having both start and end dates. VK9GMW was active obnly from 2009/03/28 until 2009/04/13. Roger The Country editor has not yet been enabled in V9. This has been mentioned on here several times. I presume that VK9GMW maps to Mellish Reef only for the duration of that operation. So, if you enter that call in today's date, it won't map to Mellish Reef because he's not currently there! 73, ian G4IIY -Original Message- From: dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Roger D Johnson Sent: 06 November 2017 11:23 To: DX4Win Reflector Subject: [Dx4win] Prefix anomaly? HK0M is not a unique prefix for Malpelo; in fact, other than HK0TU, and an HK5/0 that was on a few years ago, I don't know that any other callsign has been used from there. HK0 is/was also used from San Andres, Bajo Nuevo and Seranna Bank. So that is why the / notation is used. Re: [Dx4win] Prefix Logic
It appears to me that an Entity like Willis would have VK9W because Australia actually issues the Calls for there specifically as VK9Wxx. So, the Entity would be obvious from the Call. However, some Countries use the same prefix for several ARRL Entities and there needs to be some way to differentiate them in the database. An HK0 could be San Andres or Malpelo, so a /M is put after the HK0 to specifically denote it as Malpelo. Other eaxmples would be FR and JD1 versus PY0Txx and CE0Yxx.
