Re: [Dx4win] Rotator control

2020-01-13 Thread Steve's Email
I am having the same problem. It works then won’t. I’ve swapped multiple
cables. Tried serial cables. Changed comports. Until the upgrade to ver9 it
worked flawlessly

Re: [Dx4win] Rotator control

2020-01-13 Thread Jim Rhodes
Since you say that com 2 no longer shows up in device manager that is the
first place to look. First look for hidden devices to see if it has somehow
been hidden. Are your serial ports actual serial ports or USB adapters?

You probably have already tried switching USB cables...they do fail.

Hi all
I used to have my Prosistel 70D rotor work perfectly with DX4Win.
It no longer does, and the com port it was connected with (com 2) no longer
shows on the device manager of my Windows 10.
I tried com 1 on both DX4Win and Prosistel, it still does not work, and they
cannot communicate.
Any idea what I should check and/or modify ?

Re: [Dx4win] Rotator control

2019-12-11 Thread ON4AOI
Paul nothing specific should be in handshake since this is only for ARSWIN
needed
You can test the rotator with the program that Prosistel provided
Then you know it still works.
Under rotator next to reports in the main display of dx4win you need to set the
parameters also

Hello Guy
I have com 1 appaer in the device manager, but com 2 disappeared.
They are real RS232 ports.
It used to work, I shut the computer, and when I restarted it, I had this
message on DX4Win saying error opening com port.
In DX4Win, I selected ProsistelD as my rotator, com 1, and what should be
written in the messahe handshake box ?

Re: [Dx4win] Rotator control

2019-12-11 Thread ON4AOI
Paul,
Check first if you get com1 and com2 working again in Windows10
Best to check with a break outbox if they are still ok.

Do not known if these coms are real RS232 ports with hardware
or USB to serial connectors, in the last case it is possible that you
have Chinese clones. Windows software updates installs the original
producent his drivers and when that driver recognize a clone they
make sure it doesn't work anymore with the (new) latest driver.
