Re: [Efw-user] How to add physical interface ??

2009-12-27 Thread jonas kellens
I'm sorry to say that adding an interface this way does not work.

I have added an extra NIC, marked this NIC as interface to the GREEN
network and added an IP-address in the additional addresses namely
'192.168.10.250/24'.

After applying the configuration the Endian firewall becomes
unreachable. Whether I place my client in the default GREEN network
192.168.1.0 (as it was with 1 GREEN interface) or whether I place my
client in the network 192.168.10.0, I can not get to the GUI of Endian.

What I was trying to do is take your advice and add an extra NIC to the
br0 to create 2 separate GREEN networks. But this does not work.

Can you advise further ??

Jonas.

 Ahh cool that's something I didn't even know :)

Re: [Efw-user] How to add physical interface ??

2009-12-24 Thread jonas kellens
I need a separate subnet for IP-phones.

Do I need to add an extra physical interface to br0 or do I create a
VLAN ??

When creating a VLAN, for example eth1.5, then the interface eth1 is
deleted and only eth1.5 for tagged traffic exists. What about untagged
traffic then ???

What is the best way to create a separate subnet on the GREEN zone ???

Thanks.

Jonas.

[Efw-user] How to add physical interface ??

2009-12-23 Thread jonas kellens
Does anyone know how to add an additional physical interface to the
GREEN network ??

Endian creates a bridge br0 to add the first GREEN interface, so it must
be possible to add a second physical network card to this bridge br0.

How ??

Jonas.
