Re: [Elecraft] Flying with K2
I haven't tried to carry a K2 on a plane but I have carried other electronic gear through TSA security. TSA likes any complicated piece of electronics (like the K2) to be put in a separate bin. If you pull it out of the case and send it through the X-ray machine separate that will make it easier for them to screen. Do I pack it in suitcase (hold) or carry-on? Any problem with the SLA battery? What about paperwork? Is it likely to cause concern at the airports? __ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
FW: [Elecraft] Application Note: Calibrating the K2's 4 MHz MasterOscillator
The below link worked for me http://www.elecraft.com/Apps/K2%20C22%20Adjust%20App%20Note.pdf This one didn't... We've just added this App note to our Builders Page at: http://www.elecraft.com/Apps/K2info.htm ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. RE: [Elecraft] Antenna?
Instructions for the Pac-12 antenna can be found here: http://www.njqrp.org/pac-12/index.html It's hard to find from the home pages of the other QRP sites listed... Overall, the PAC-12 takes less than 10 minutes to set up or take down, is light to carry, and produces lots of contacts. IMO it's probably the best bang for the buck if you build it yourself. There's a set of plans available on the AMQRP website www.amqrp.org under the Projects tab and listed as the KA5DVS PAC-12 antenna. ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. RE: [Elecraft] Re: IC-7800
NC0B of Sherwood Engineering gave a great presentation on contest receivers during the Dayton 2004 Contest Forum. The data from the presentation is here. http://www.sherweng.com/presentation.html He shows the 20 KHz and 2 KHz Dynamic Range Numbers for a variety of receivers. He said the IC-7800 data was taken from ARRL measurements, not his measurements. All of the other data were his measurements. ___ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr.
