Maybe for some, but not N. Cal. You were RST 219 at peaks. Couldn't
manage a direct QNI, and I guess I had to leave before any of the QSP's
started.

[Elecraft] Elecraft CW Net Report for April 10th and 11th, 2005

2005-04-10 Thread Kevin Rock
This evening's nets were interesting. First twenty meters was spotty. I
had to be careful not to lose someone because they could go away at a
moment's notice. Even then the copy was not simple. Some of you were at
or below the noise. I may have missed a few due to these conditions. I
am sorry. Forty meters was plagued by QRN. I was running with the volume
on maximum so there were times I could not hear my own sidetone due to the
static crashes around the country. My ears are getting better now. There
will be some ringing for a while. Donovan and Elton John are on now after
the Grieg suite completed. Soothes my ears :)

VE1RGB - Gary - NS - K2 - 2519 QNI #30 Guest number 1

Thanks guys!

On 7045 kHz at 0157 z:
KD0RC - Len - CO - K2 - 2239
AK2B - Tom - NY - KX1 (I think) - 685 Very hard copy through the QRN
this evening

N7NLU - Karl (yes I really can spell your name :) - OR - K2 - 4227
WA7BOC - Roger - WA - K2 - 755
AA6AV - Peter - CA - K2 - 1294
NK8Q - Mark - PA - K2 - 4786
W0CZ - Ken - ND - K2 - 1031 QNI #65! Guest number 2

As always, if there are any errors in the above lists please send me the
corrections and I will post them and fix my database. If I missed you
this evening please try again. Sometimes the bands do allow easy copy
across the continent. Tonight those occurrences were by luck. Well,
except for Ray! He seems to have something going for him to get across
the country each week with three watts. Must be one of those special KX1s
that Wayne awards the worthy ;)

Take care,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 7th Class)
